Anyone hear today?
Sadly, no.
Has anyone contacted the school regarding selecting the pass/no pass grade option? I currently have a 3.94 but may get a B in a non-major class, so I was considering that option.
@lancer92839 i haven’t contacted the school just because im not doing pass/fail, but i feel like if you keep the B they will be extremely understanding given the circumstances. however, if you are worried about your gpa for other reasons, then maybe use the pass option, they’ll more than likely accept the credits
I put how to juggle for the class I would teach lol.
for my class, i said i’d teach conspiracy theories
Hey guys. I know the wait is starting to get painful, especially in the reality we are living in now which makes the days feel even longer. I know that for myself it’s become a habit to check multiple times a day even at times when I know they won’t sent out a decision (aka 1am). I just wanted you all to know that you’re not alone when it comes to the way you’re feeling! The anxiety is through the roof and if you ever need to talk about it or just wanna chat, let me know! It will be a great comfort to find some buddies to go through this wait with!
I received a Winter grade request, is this a good sign???
@99suhjw yes that’s a good sign! Do you go to a quarter school?
Hello! Just stumbled on this thread. I was a transfer student to USC. I came into USC as a sophomore. I was a TTP student. Some people hear back for their admissions by the end of May, but for me since I went to the community college, I heard back during the summer. Though, it is different for everyone and what year you are. It was a long anxious wait. Also for taking all the GEs, etc. It’s great if youre able to accomplish all of them, but sometimes depending on your major, once you’re at USC you have to take 2 GEs within Dornsife. I can answer any questions you may have I’m currently finishing up my junior year.
@4yourhope Thank you for reaching out to this thread! I’m reposting a question I asked earlier :
General question: I completed all of the GE classes listed on the transfer planning guide except for one class in the “CITIZENSHIP IN A DIVERSE WORLD” requirement. I emailed an admissions counselor a few months ago saying I could either complete the language requirement (finishing spanish 3 right now) or this CITIZENSHIP IN A DIVERSE WORLD requirement since they were both offered at the same time this semester, and she said either works. I ended up choosing to finish the language requirement because they made it sound like that was the more important class to finish, but now I’m not so sure. Do you think it would greatly impact my application?
(For context: I only had two major requirement courses and one was satisfied with a 5 on the AP exam and the other I got an A in)
Also does anyone know if we need to have a minimum high school GPA to apply as a transfer? I initially thought there was no minimum requirement, but i read something today that said they require a minimum 3.7 high school GPA. I didn’t think this made sense but in case I missed something
just double-checking, for transfers, USC will send out acceptances through email? I dont think my portal says anything about checking my status.
@sleeplessincali I don’t think there is a minimum GPA. Where did you read that?
@alexiv24 yeah it will be through your portal. USC will send you an email if your admission status has been updated.
@sleeplessincali there’s no minimum gpa to apply! the 3.7 refers to the average accepted transfer gpa!
im sad we dont get the fancy red packages if we’re admitted this year :,( . but being admitted at all would be amazing anyway
yes I go to a 4 year private Californian school. I’m just worried because I received 2 A’s 1 C and 1 W this quarter. Before that my academic progress has been in an upward trend. How much will this hurt me in my admission chances?
@uschopeful23 I know ): hopefully they will give the packages once we attend!
@99suhjw hard to tell since we aren’t admission officers haha. I know they consider each transfer differently since you attend a four year university, so structure is different than a community college. As long as you are in the 3.7 overall GPA range you should be good. But, admissions are weird, sometimes people get in with a lower GPA and sometimes people don’t with a 4.0. Best of luck!
