2020 New Product Costco Thread

Does it come with a barista?

Thanks for the Costco skorts tip! I live in them in the summer and hate spending $50+ at Athleta. Checked my Costco today and there was a different brand, tranquillity something, for $10, black and some bright patterns. Picked up one, to try, and will definitely add another when I go back!

I made a Costco run today to pick up jam, since we loved it so much last month, and all of our fruit got hit by a late frost here, so no jam making in my future… Les Comtes de Provence, Superfruits, Organic Raspberry, Morello Cherry, Aronia fruit spread. Made in France. The entire family would eat this with a spoon. Or on pancakes, toast, ice cream. I bought an obscene number of jars. They were on an end cap, so I do know of they’ll be available forever.

? I am highly trained. I can charge $5 from my balcony.

New to me. Boxes of 50 disposable face masks. Bought a couple for Mr.’s new workplace. 44 cents a mask. Good deal.

I just bought those face masks too! They should be here by Friday.

New to me: Duck in orange sauce. It’s precooked so you only need to heat it and the sauce and serve. It was in the appetizer section, with all the giant chunks of cheese and huge tubs of guac.

^I bought it expecting it to be rubbery. Surprisingly, that duck was very moist and quite tasty, and the package supplied protein for 2 meals for the two of us.

We haven’t eaten out since mid-March, and honestly, I don’t miss it as much as I thought I would. What I do miss is a night off cooking. In the past, I didn’t buy frozen meals, but that’s what I’m looking for now. I want something super easy to have on hand for those nights I just don’t want to cook. Any ideas?

I put a couple of things in my cart for my next delivery - Kirkland frozen cheese pizzas, and Ling Ling chicken and vegetable potstickers. Has anyone tried these? Any suggestions for other frozen meals?

Orange chicken, spring rolls

Not new, but answering @csfmap

We love the Chicken Tikka Marsala in the refrigerated case. It’s in two packs , each more than enough for dinner for two, and it lasts several weeks in the fridge. I like to knead the packet a little to break up the bigger chicken pieces so more of the sauce is mixed in. Serve it over the frozen cauliflower rice. (After heating the cauliflower rice, put it in a clean dish towel and squeeze out the extra water).

My family has been enjoying the Ling Ling potstickers for years. They are delicious and super easy to prepare. I pair them with fried rice and sometimes a salad. I recommend trying them. I always have a bag on hand and purchase them when they are featured in the coupon book.

I posted this over on the Sinner’s Alley thread, but it fits here. We’re enjoying alcoholic freezer pops from Costco:

Such an easy way to enjoy a frozen cocktail. They’re actually pretty good.

Thank you for the ideas. I’m making a list. I appreciate the side suggestions for the potstickers. I added the Crazy Cuizine orange chicken to my cart. Is that the brand you like, bookworm? And I added Sukhi’s Tikka Marsala, too. I’m waiting on the spring rolls because it’s a package of 50.

Thanks for the help. I’m ready to place my order and looking forward to no cook nights.

I just discovered the Detroit-style frozen pizzas at Costco. They’re pretty good. Also there are edamame spring rolls, I think they’re from Taste of Asia. Also got Walker’s shortbread last time I was there.

Costco is my happy place, though I end up buying way too much stuff that we can never finish.

If you like the tikka masala, it is very easy to make from scratch and freezes so nicely you can just make enough to freeze several meals for your nights off. I always make enough for at least 5 dinners.

I’ll second the Chicken Tikka Marsala for a quick meal. I add extra butter and paprika during the warm up and I also break up the chicken pieces.

H loves the Marie C. chicken pot pies!

The Kirkland frozen lasagna (more of a basic one) is pretty good.

We also love the large breaded coconut shrimp.

And in the refrigerated section the augratin potatoes. Good side with the rotisserie chicken!

Also HIGHLY recommend any of the Rana meals:

There are a couple varieties - Costco price is cheaper. I would say feeds 4 comfortably.

New to us this trip was the Kevin’s Thai Style coconut chicken. Yummy but not as much food per packet.

Picked up a two pack of sour cream in squeeze packs - foil packages.

My problem is I go to my standards and don’t really look around. I only found those sour cream packs because DD had them.

Never in my wildest dreams would I look for duck in orange sauce in the appetizer section by the cheese. But…thanks to CC, now I will

^^We just tried this Thai Style Coconut Chicken and it was delicious.
