@CADREAMIN Hi! I have a question, I was admitted with the condition of submitting my official spring transcript. I already sent it and it should arrive in the next couple of days, but when I try to register for Orientation, it says:

…Should I wait for them to receive my transcript, or should I just register for orientation. I have no idea how it works. Thanks for your help

no

Neither did I! Keep your head up guys! I feel as though if you received an SGR and USC hasn’t rejected you yet, there is still an amazing chance at winning!

Keep positive!

Does this mean they are looking over my financial aid/fasfa or do I need to contact them

@wvxsvx ^idk if u are still here haha

They’re literally telling you what you need to do. Contact them. lmao

hi! I’ve honestly never experienced this before but I would suggest contacting them just like cua8ma said, there could be a problem with your fafsa or css profile

Ya agree, it’s right there. Your application seems to be incomplete, contact them.

@CADREAMIN when do you expect them to start dropping decisions again?

There really should be some any day this week. Hope you hear very soon!

thank you! I also had a question for you if you don’t mind, so I emailed my AO this morning about my situation but she didn’t answer so I just ended up calling the admissions office to save time. Incase you don’t remember, I submitted my SGR on the 12th and it disappeared last Wednesday. I was told that this means a decision is ready and would hear back by the 31st. When I contacted the admissions office they said that this is weird and never really happened before, the girl on the phone was honestly really confused. she did however say that a couple other people called in with the same thing, she also mentioned that there’s no decision on file. Do you think if my AO doesn’t respond by tomorrow afternoon I should call her on the phone number she has attached? or would that be too pushy. I just really want to know what’s up honestly because the clock is ticking, or do you suggest I wait?

This is not a different and never before occurrence, despite what admissions said. We see it every year, several people don’t hear back…they just didn’t finish their job basically. @zettasyntax can verify this is nothing new. Give it another couple days, don’t cross the line of pushy/annoying, it won’t help, and it won’t make you feel good. You have contacted both your advisor and admissions, so let it ride till Friday. I understand you are losing your mind, it’s frustrating.

I can let you know that USC definitely cares about it’s students, however they are not going to hold your hand throughout many different processes.

A lot of transfers from last year took it upon themselves to rent spaces as groups. While on campus housing may not be available, there are plenty of off campus housing options that are affiliated with the university that are good. If admitted, be sure to join your Facebook group and start making connections and ask people what they’re doing for housing and if anyone is looking for roommates.

It’s just disappointing not to have on campus housing as an option. That thought never crossed my mind when I applied.

Unfortunately, those of us who transfer are given the short end of the stick when we first are admitted. We pick classes last/aren’t given housing options etc. You are capable of doing it though, I know it can be scary to think about, but you have it within yourself to handle anything that comes your way.

The awesome thing is that the transfer community is strong and if admitted you will meet a lot of great people. Good luck!

Not yet, but I am going to. What about you?

Yes transfers are not a priority at many schools, prioirty is given to those that attended there from the beginning, just how it is. But once in, things will smooth out. The housing situation is never good for transfers and this year is even tougher with them scrambling to make the ones with guaranteed housing fit. USC only guarantees freshman and sophomore housing, with the sophmore guarantee only applying to those that attended and lived on campus the year before, which you recently learned. I’m not sure many transfers have a shot this year, which means there will be many looking for people to live with, and there are a lot of options around campus that make it very easy like a USC Gateway. But I understand, if my sophomore daughter was in your position, it would have been a big influence on whether to attend, so I get it feels really uncomfortable. But there are lots of social media groups to find housing and room mates, I think some have been mentioned here…You really just need to find one person in the same position as you that you could think you could live with, and go from there. It seems like such a big deal now, but once there, being any where in our around campus can work really well.

Hey guys, I got accepted for Spring 2022 but saw I needed to have a GPA above 3.5 and no grade lower than a C to enroll for classes, I had no grades lower than a C but my Spring GPA was a 3.0 (I had a 3.8 in the fall) I definitely have some significant personal reasons as to why my grades tanked so hopefully I’ll get somewhere to explain myself. Do you guys think I’m screwed? Any advice would be much appreciated
