I am not sure. On their website, it shows SAT requirements for certain tracks, but not for BSDO 4+4.
Looks like requirement is optional but strongly recommended now… I guess 99% of accepted students will have it.
Also I hardly can imagine a student who can’t get SAT 1240 in one sitting but able to get 3.3 overall science GPA with classes like ORG Chem, Biochem, Genetics etc. Also LECOM forgets to mention that EAP students are required to be Natural Science majors, so you can’t major in music, humanities or psychology. You have pretty much choice of Bio, Chem, Physics, Neuro or Biochem with some variations.
Fair point but you never know what people circumstances are…
@NoviceDad DC matched to Stanford Health (First choice on Rank List). Congrats on Westchester Medical, Bronx, NY for your DD.
Congratulations!!! to you and your DC.
From on coast to another!
We are happy with Westchester - her extremely close cousin is doing fellowship there.
Primary care? One BSMD girl we know did pediatrics there.
If I may ask, which specialty/residency? I did my fellowship there and live in Westchester so I am curious. Which BS/MD program did your DD attend? All the best to her. WMC is a good place to train.
WMC is in Valhalla, not Bronx.
@NoviceDad
We have family in CA.
@srk2017
None of those you mentioned.
Ok, never heard of WMC so googled it. Albert E is in Bronx,
Congratulations to all the children who matched and parents who no longer have to worry about the bills!
WMC is a very good program. D interviewed last year for IM. Although she did undergrad in New York, she didnt want to go back there and ranked all Texas programs higher than the half a dozen she talked to in and around NYC. One of the residents she interviewed with at WMC told her she was coming to Houston for a fellowship.
WMC is a regional powerhouse in Hudson Valley and designated site for key officials to gain care while in NY.
Both my niece and her husband did residency there - niece is also doing cards fellowship there.
We knew about the program and hence my DD applied.
Internal Medicine.
She went to Northwestern Medical
You don’t need to be secretive about it not that difficult to find out
What fellowship is she thinking?
Congratulations to all on matches. A very exciting time.
Hemonc or cardiology
We should move this discussion on the other thread - did not realize we were on this year’s admission cycle thread.
DD visited Northwestern University for a second look and had ranked it high. DD wanted to go to Sunny CA near our family members.
