I am in 100%agreement. Yes, it’s a rebuilding year after losing something like 15 to the NFL. But ya got to play better against these weaker teams. Not really looking forward to this season.
First start for Alex Orji. Good game. Go Blue!
usc still can’t tackle while at least ucla covered
Sanders to Wester!! Colorado and Baylor go to OT!!
Welcome to the 1980s,Michigan football. Winning on the last drive with time running out. Go Blue.
The last two weeks have been rough for both our family’s teams (UGA and UM). Ugh. Hopefully they get it together by next weekend… especially UGA since it’s the Bama game in Tuscaloosa. Tough in the best of circumstances.
Not great for Purdue this season either
My dad tried to watch again this season; he already gave up. I think he’s just waiting for basketball season at this point
So yesterday I rooted against USC. Today I have to root for our USC QB on the Chicago Bears
Wonder if Tuttle is close to return? I like the idea of using both Qbs. Totally confuse the defenses or at least not be so one dimensional. Gotta get Orji to throw some screen passes or something.
Texas will stay no. 1. Arch looks fine in first start, like the QB without a lot of game-time experience that he is. I hope they start him again against Miss State so that Quinn can fully heal. We’ll need him against OU and Georgia. And, hey, if Quinn goes down again, then more reps for Arch gives him a fighting chance against our rival in three weeks and the next week the best team we’ll face all year.
My cardiologist is not happy with CU football.
Despite the W, this week was about the worst quarter and a half of football I’ve ever seen ND play. Feels like it is going to be a long season.
I think it was John Madden who said if you have two QB’s, you don’t have a QB. Nebraska is playing Raiola, a freshman. Let’s see what Jadyn Davis has or doesn’t have.
I am with you on JD. I am sure he can throw a screen pass.
In “smaller league” news, Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, USF, and all of the AAC schools of interest, have turned down PAC12 offers. Apparently they couldn’t secure a TV deal that was any better than what the AAC was already offering…which is why the PAC12 collapsed in the first place
Of course you know I agree with this. Pac 12 Network is awful. So far CU has played 4 games and all were over before 10 pm (even the one in overtime), whereas last year most games didn’t even start until 8:30 pm and several ended after midnight, because the PAC 12 sold them to networks as a ‘late, late game.’ And then if they couldn’t sell, and it was only on the Pac12 Network, our cable companies didn’t carry it! We had SEC, ACC, BiG 10 Networks, but no Pac 12. Not even every bar in town had Pac 12 Network.
Rant over. Glee of not being in Pac 12 continues.
A trip down memory lane. A happy trip if you root for CU, BC, or Auburn.
Thanks for bringing up memories of my very first Iron Bowl (actually discussed my ticket prices on this forum back in 2013 when my son was a freshman marching band member at Auburn). Now we stink, as we have for a while, so nice to remember the good years (there were few).
The conference drama is more entertaining than game day. The AAC told the PAC12 where they can “shove” their poaching offer. Now the Mountain West is in a stalemate with the PAC12. Both conferences are at 7 schools and ineligible for conference recognition. Both will have to bargain hunt CUSA and the Sunbelt. The big winner…AAC! I would say, congratulations on the PAC12 for rebuilding a conference that already exists.
In other news, the UNLV starting quarterback decided to quit because he feels he didn’t get a good NIL deal. That would be a stronger argument if his pass rate wasn’t at a pathetic 43%. I’m sure the kicker could throw better than that. Put him in and UNLV will probably make the playoffs.
