2024 Decision Thread/University of Delaware

Has anyone got a response for elementary education?

Yes my daughter accepted last week for elementary education.

Let’s hope
not sure how much longer I can wait. The wait is the most stressful part of this entire process.
Wish they would just let us know.
Good luck everyone

I find rolling admissions to be so stressful. It’s a lot easier when you iknow what day the news is coming, even if it is a little further out!

It feels like the decision process has grounded to a halt, no? Hardly any new acceptances posted in the last week. My daughter’s portal has been stuck on “awaiting decision” for 3 weeks. She applied around Labor Day and had all materials in by early October. I don’t understand why schools are not more communicative and transparent about the whole admissions process.

Completely agree, I’ve been on awaiting decision for nearly 3 weeks also

Anyone else have a change on their portal today? My son’s date of last portal update was changed to today. It had been sitting at 11/14. Maybe they just do this to drive us crazy because nothing else changed.

My daughter’s is still at 11/17. Prior to that, it had been updating daily.

@proudmammaof2 Same here. My daughter’s stayed on 11/14 until today when it changed to 11/21. Still “Awaiting Decision”, and we wait

Same here :frowning:

triple same :-(. No change since 11/15

Has anyone heard about honors/merit information?

@bgbird2020 nope we are waiting here too, got accepted about 2 weeks ago

Same here accepted 11/6

My daughter’s status changed to “Final Decision” in the Portal last night. Curious of how she will notified of the actual decision. Is it only by mail?

You find out in the portal!

OK, thanks. But when!!! Suspense is killing us! No indication even though it states Final Decision.

My daughter applied August 1, we are still awaiting decision. It is really hard to see that we were told rolling admissions when we toured and they told us 4-6 weeks. It has been 16 weeks. I teach at a University where she can get free tuition in the same major she applied to at U of D but she has always wanted to attend U of D since she was a freshmen in high school. She has been holding out on committing to the University I work at until she hears from U of D. I just wish they were more honest about the decision timelines when we toured the campus.

It is still early. Most schools don’t publish decisions until December/January for EA. Rolling means they prioritize; some of the higher stats hear first and some majors hear before others.

FYI, if they did them all in September, it really would not be fair since many high schools don’t even start until after Labor Day, and counselors won’t submit paperwork until Sept 15.

Entering week 6, still sitting at “Awaiting Decision”. Nestling in for the long haul.
