Sure - my DS applied mid October and got into regular UD 11/6, honors 12/6. His stats are SAT 1470, ACT 35, 5.01 weighted GPA, will have 12 APs upon graduation. He has strong ECs as well. No sports.

Forgot to add major - he’s arts and sciences, thinking pre-med.

D20 accepted for Nursing Major. She is thrilled!

How do we find actual UD students/parents so we can ask a ton of questions?

@TimeFlies2 I would guess there is an admitted UDEL student and/or Udel parent Facebook page. I would suggest searching FB

I’ve found that current students use their schools’ reddit pages far more than Facebook .

Accepted December 6th

If I am not accepted for my first or second major choice is there any way that I can get accepted for undeclared or te university studies? I applied as Nursing and my first choice and Biology as my second choice. I am beginning to second guess because those are competitive programs. My GPA is 3.79 and my SAT is a 1200. I have many EC and three officer positions at my school.

@Snowman124 I also applied as a nursing major with the same stats as you and I have not heard back yet. Don’t lose hope. Keep in mind that the last date for Early Action decisions is January 31st (which is more than a month away). However, if you are not accepted to your first or second choice major you can indicate to your admissions rep through email that you would like to be reconsidered for a different major.
I would also like to let you know that taking the traditional path to nursing isn’t the only option to get to a nursing career. I recently emailed an admissions rep about other paths to nursing and here was his response: “There is not one traditional path to get to a nursing degree. On our campus you can do a few things like Biological Sciences, Biology, Medical Diagnostics, or Biochemistry as undergraduate programs and then once you graduate you look for accelerated nursing programs that can take anywhere between sixteen months to two years.”
I hope this answer is of some help to you. I am in the same boat you are right now. I’m anxious about getting back a decision, but I’m trying to take the advice that everyone has been giving me to not lose hope and to know that even if I get declined, it isn’t the end of the world. The wait is hard, but you will get through it and be fine. Good luck!

My friend’s son was denied today via snail mail letter. Letter bad, packet good. His portal said final decision but that’s it.
Did you know you can sign up via USPS (informed consent) to see what mail is coming? He saw the letter was coming ;-(. We are still awaiting decision.
