Does anyone know if there’s a groupme or any sort of chat for accepted students ??
I made one, feel free to join if you’ve been accepted, doesn’t matter if you’ve committed yet or not.
We got the Distinguished scholars invite tonight as well. My son has a 5.02 WGPA, 3.95 UW, 34 ACT, 12 APs by graduation and many ECs. Good luck everyone!
@Xavier_Dredo I don’t think you can pull it if you haven’t been accepted yet. I would either not worry about it, or email your admissions counselor listed in the portal.
My son emailed the regional counselor listed on his portal and general admissions email to do just the same thing. He received a response acknowledging his withdrawal but his portal is still active (asking for grades). He did the same thing with 2 other schools. One reflects the change on the portal, one doesn’t. I figure we’ve tried to do our part and now we move on
Thanks, she doesn’t care one way or the other and probably won’t email the adviser. She’s excited about attending Northeastern. Good luck to everyone
re distinguished scholars, I wonder if we already committed if they figure why offer DISCHO??
Mine, too, ugh
I don’t know. Wouldn’t it be better to give to someone you know is going to attend.
@Likesominfo did your son commit? I am wondering if that is one of the requirements. Thanks.
Test
I applied 9 weeks ago regular decision and was wondering if anyone has an idea as to when the next round of decisions come out? and does anyone know if calling the admissions office for an idea of when I would hear a decision back from them would help?

Decisions come out on Fridays.
to Tiffanyly - no, my son hasn’t committed yet.
@user_758697 I wouldn’t worry!! I heard a while back and got accepted into the nursing program with scholarships around that many weeks of submission. My SAT was a 1320, and I have a 4.1 out of 4.5 weighted GPA, so I don’t want to get your hopes up but I’m sure you are a competitive applicant!
i still haven’t heard back from the honors program and i feel like everyone in this thread already has. should i be worried ?
honestly same here
i got my scholarship and admission many weeks back
i wonder what’s up
ea engineering applicant btw
Do you guys think history is a less competitive and easier major to get into for UD especially if it is most likely my best looking subject on my transcript?
My daughter is pretty darn happy with it. It ranks super high for chemical engineering and has a great reputation for all other types of engineering as well. My daughter was completely comfortable choosing UD for biomedical engineering over higher ranked schools like Purdue, U of Illinois, Boston U, and Madison, and as a freshman she’s already participating in cool research in her field. She likes her advisor and feels well supported. She’s planned out her 4 years of classes and really likes what she’s taking. My husband hires engineers and is very quick to say he doesn’t give a darn where you went to school. Some of the best engineers at his company went to small no name colleges in the midwest. He cares more about how you conduct yourself and how you work with people. Good luck with your decision. I think you really can’t go wrong with engineering.
I was deferred from UDel on January 10th for exercise science. My decision letter says I’ll hear back no later than early April. Does anyone have any insight as to when I’ll receive an acceptance/rejection? My profile has continued to update regularly.
