Hi all! Got deferred in January & they requested mid year grades. Sent the transcript & heard nothing yet. No admission decision email but today when I logged on the notice was post dated for April 3, 2020 that is requesting mid-year grades again. Has anyone heard anything? Good luck! Hope we all hear soon.
My admissions counselor said âDecisions should be out in early April at the latest so you can keep an eye out for any UD emails (or check your portal page weekly) until then.â
Hi all! I got deferred in November and still havent heard back. I emailed admissions yesterday and they said âIt should be released in a few days. We appreciate your patience during this time.â! Hopefully we get in after all this waiting!
Yeah you would think if it was a decline that they would just tell you. Why make us wait?
If my daughter declines today as opposed to May 1, will that open up a spot for someone? She was offered a Presidential Scholarship, Honors program, and World Scholars, so it was an extremely difficult choice for her, but her first choice gave her a better offer and she also has a full-ride backup to her state school of choice.
If thereâs no chance the spot(s) will go to someone else, sheâll just wait until Decision Day, but if thereâs a chance someone else will get her scholarship/spot/Honors if she declines now, that would be her preference.
I would assume that because they are still going through the Honors admissions it would open up a spot - but not so sure about the scholarship as much of that would already be out. (again just my opinion)
Is anyone else waiting for a response to the honors program? We gave today as the deadline if my daughter doesnât hear anything she is going to accept from another school. Itâs been a long road. Good luck to everyone hope Delaware give her scholarship to another deserving student.
Yes, my S is still waiting to hear about honors. He did his World Scholars interview a few days ago.

Hi! Just got a decision not the one I was hoping for! Acceptance for the spring semester, be on waitlist for fall wonât hear about that till June 1st, or do a fall program at American University & then transfer all credits to UDel. Good luck everyone hope u guys have better luck than me!

The thing I donât understand is can I apply to be waitlisted for the fall semester and if I donât get in for that, can I still enroll for the spring semester?

Wait ! THEYâRE doing a program with American University or youâre saying that youâll go to American for a semester and transfer? Interesting if itâs the first option.
Iâm not the original poster. Iâm pretty positive one of the options is going to American for Fall then transfer to UofD. I recall reading about somebody getting that option in the thread from last year.
DS just got the same offer: Fall WL; Spring Admit for his major in the business school-financial/wealth planning. Definitely a viable option. If you select Spring Admit, youâre automatically on the Fall WL.
Something to consider is that Fall programs may still be online depending on COVID19, so this year particularly, Spring admit is a very good option.
I wonder what happens if you say yes to American, which includes an internship, and then classes are still online. Will you just take online classes through American? The first semester at American says you will be non matriculated. Obviously, these are questions that school would have to answer.
