2025 Waitlists- expect movement (read why) and list them here

Maybe they should call it the “B” list instead of the waitlist  :squinting_face_with_tongue:

CMC just reported by a counselor!

Son just received got off the waitlist at Northeastern–but for the NU In program. We honestly know nothing about it and were not expecting this; he’s been anxiously waiting on another waitlist. He did not write a LOCI. He also got a Dean’s Scholarship, but our full aid package is unavailable because they said they’re missing some documents. (Which seems weird to me because we used IDOC and no other school was missing anything.)

the new definition is when a school wants to take people off the waitlist without the world knowing they went to the waitlist

BU for Questrom finance Fall 2025 as well
Surprised as it doesn’t tend to move for my school (ED feeder)

I’m guessing this means C25 would be off the waitlist if they agreed to commit? Like a soft acceptance that doesn’t count against their yield if C25 declines?

C25 is over profile, showed very little interest, was likely waitlisted to protect yield.

yes, I got the same message.

Not that it really matters, but when the kids report their outcomes to the high school for naviance scatterplots, would you count this as waitlist/accepted? Or Waitlist/denied? The kids have to self-report outcomes at our high school.

C25 would only accept BU if given the full tuition merit award, therefore I don’t think they plan to reply to this email.

Waitlist/accepted because in the end they did get the offer to take it up

I’m sorry if I missed this but are you answering a different question or saying that your child (or you personally!) got off of the waitlist at Richmond? If so, would you mind sharing any information about major or geography and or if it involves need? And it was today?

can you provide more information than this?

Mod note: This question is for @Celmo
