8% of Richmondâs Class of 2028 was from the waitlist so itâs not as much of a long shot as most schools. Good luck!

Wow, I didnât know that! Because itâs a relatively small school (and we are in the need pile), I feel a lot of uncertainty. But I appreciate this little spark of hope. He is excited about where he is enrolled, but really didâand unexpectedly soâfall in love with Richmond.
D25 similar language in VM and email from Lafayette and I had the same thought regarding % acceptance rate as it felt like a soft acceptance; she was told her Portal/Acceptance letter wouldnât be released until she accepted. Email also mentioned her merit amount/award.

Thank you! Sure weâre from S. Florida area. My son told me heâheard from Richmond about the waitlistâ so I checked his portal and it said there was a status update and a number to call. I called and they said he has a spot but we have 48 hours to let them know and 7 days to make a deposit. I didnât ask about aid but will if my son is still interested. Good luck!

Thank you, this is helpful! We are New England. I know Richmond is need-blind for admissions but need-aware for the waitlist; we are very much in the need pile, so just wondering whether that is coming into play.

A counselor reported UVA (in-state) and USC (California)
eta see update below. That counselor clarified that they made an error and that the two students they mentioned were originally deferred from early action and then admitted in March andApril.
