Many schools haven’t gone to the waitlist because a likely majority of the 2800 four year schools are still taking apps, linking to the NACAC college openings thread.
Harvey Mudd made a round of WL offers.
My daughter has seen indications that both Wellesley and Scripps have gone to waitlists but not 100% confirmed. I believe she saw it on instagram and Reddit. For a lot of the SLAC we may not get much official notification beyond those.
I believe Caltech has extended offers as of this morning.
Smith has offered a place off the waitlist for one of my students. They are also meeting all of her financial aid requirements.

We would like to provide a comprehensive update on the waitlist activity for Emory College and Oxford College of Emory University.
Emory College
As of May 12, 2026, we are pleased to report that the enrolling class at Emory College is nearing full capacity. Emory College currently has an enrolling class goal of 1,450 students and is presently oversubscribed at 1,463 deposited students. While this places us in a strong position, we recognize that some changes in plans may still occur among deposited students in the coming weeks, including gap year requests and other personal considerations that may affect final enrollment in August 2026.
As a result, we anticipate making a limited number of offers from the waitlist during the month of May, with an estimated range of approximately 60 to 70 enrolling students. Currently, over 4,000 students have elected to stay on the waitlist. Emory College expects to begin outreach to a select group of waitlisted students no later than May 15.
The waitlist process at Emory College is conducted on a case-by-case basis. Students who remain on the waitlist will be contacted directly via email should space become available. We encourage students to ensure that their email contact information is accurate and to monitor their inboxes regularly. As the waitlist process evolves, we will continue to update candidates via email and through our blog.
Oxford College - Campus Start
We are pleased to share that the enrolling class at Oxford College is nearing capacity and is currently tracking above our target. While we are in a strong position, we recognize that some shifts may still occur as deposited students finalize their plans.
With that in mind, we expect to extend a limited number of offers from the waitlist, with the goal of enrolling approximately 15 students for an on-campus start. Our team will initiate outreach to a select group of waitlisted students via email with offers of admission no later than May 15. We encourage students to monitor their email regularly.
To ensure full consideration, students should confirm that their contact information is current and accurate.
Oxford Launch: London
We are also excited to share that Oxford College will be admitting additional students from the waitlist to join the Oxford Launch: London program, a unique international academic opportunity.
At this time, we anticipate enrolling approximately 5 students from the waitlist for a London start and have made offers to selected students earlier this week.
Students who wish to remain under consideration should ensure that their contact information is accurate and up to date. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
General Waitlist Information
The university will continue reviewing the waitlist regularly throughout the summer, as needed, and students are advised to remain patient as they await updates regarding their admission status. Waitlist activity typically concludes in June, though in some years it may extend into July.
In the event that a student no longer wishes to be considered for enrollment, they may opt to remove themselves from the waitlist through their applicant portal. We encourage students to do so if they are no longer interested in enrolling. Additional information may also be found in the Waitlist FAQs available within the applicant portal.
As we conclude, we would like to extend our warmest wishes to all students as they prepare for the season of high school examinations and the exciting celebrations that will follow in the coming weeks. We hope each student finds success in their academic pursuits and enjoys the memorable moments that accompany this special time.
Please do not hesitate to contact us at admission@emory.edu should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Emory University Office of Undergraduate Admission

Harvard waitlist is closed as of 5/14 (they sent a status update around 4:30 PST)
I don’t think that’s universal. Many received the email, but others didn’t (with no update on the portal). I think they’re selectively releasing from the WL
Adcom confirmed Wesleyan has gone to its waitlist.
Just heads up Emory and BC are pulling from their waitlist. Does anyone know if UPenn or CMU has movement?
