Many schools like Harvard, MIT, UChicago have already closed their WL. So hearing from ppl that Princeton is still looking into their pool and just taking time is comforting. Really hoping it works out!
Canât believe it! Itâs great!
I called the undergraduate admissions office on Wednesday and they said everything would be finalized in June.
Just curious - did they give any indication about whether they will be admitting students from the waitlist? Or is that something they are still uncertain about at this stage? Hope that they will get to the conclusion soon so people can move on with making their plans.
The lady on the phone said that they will start sending the waitlist decisions out in the next few weeks, and finalize them by the end of June, so based on what she said it seems like theyâre definitely admitting students. I might be wrong though. I feel like if they werenât letting anyone off they would probably just send them all out at once and sooner instead of over such a long period. (like 5-6 weeks) I think the reason why theyâll take so long to finalize is that theyâre looking at all the applications. However she might have just said until the end of June as the absolute latest date and it might come out before then. I was in a bit of a rush since I was calling secretly and I didnât want my sister to know I was calling them. (She was waitlisted at Princeton but I think sheâs happy where sheâs committed now, but I donât want to get her hopes up only to be disappointed again)
I got a call from a number from Jersey City, New Jersey. My school WiFi was down so when I answered it the call cut out after 5 seconds and I couldnât hear anything. I tried calling back 20 minutes later but they didnt pickup. No voicemail was left because the call cut out. Was this related to princeton? I live in CA so I donât get calls from New Jersey
I wonder if I should email or call and give my number as a back up, my D doesnât really use her cell phone or check it much!!
They will leave a message/text. You are not going to loose our if she doesnât pick up.
You can google if the number you received call from was from Princeton univ number. Keep us informed pls
Spam call, most likely. Absolutely not Princeton, as (1) they would not have a Jersey City location (itâs 50 miles from Princeton) and (2) your call back would have gone to voicemail if it wasnât answered. Not to mention (3), if Princeton really wanted to contact you, they would try again. So donât give it any further thought.
Exactly, we live abroad, and when Pioneer Academics wanted to talk to my daughter last year, they called Twice in a short period of time from PennsylvaniaâŠ
Did you mean Princeton?
No, I am talking about another programâŠBut I am saying that when they wanna reach you , THEY WILL,âŠ
Curious to know whether they have started to give offers to Waitlisted students? Does this mean there is a chance they will continue doing so until end of June?
They have made one offer so far (it was on Reddit and they showed proof). That was may second
That wasnât trueâŠThey have not made any offers but are looking into the wait-list pool.
The person sent me proof in my DM⊠looked very, very real.
2 people including me received response from Princeton last week that they have stated to look into the wait-list and will be few weeks before they make offers.
This is going to be a long wait for like one offer to be made
The person you mentioned who got accepted off the waitlist might be an exception. Perhaps it is because he/she is from New Jersey and an underrepresented minority, which could have influenced the decision.
