Here are some quick stats:

  • 34 ACT (35 super score but Princeton doesnā€™t)

  • 4.5 GPA (4.0 scale)

  • Class rank 4 out of 381

  • 18 AP classes

  • AP Capstone Diploma

  • ECs: Debate (team captain, 4x state champion, 3x national qualifier, nationally ranked), Swim (athlete, coach, team captain, and charity work), Orchestra (1st chair cellist)

I was notified that I have become salutatorian of my class last week. Should I update Princeton, or just leave it be?

Definitely call the admissions office (thatā€™s an important update!) and they will add it to your file. My D made several updates via email or calling.

UPDATE: When my D received her call on Monday, she was told her financial aid offer would be ready that evening. She emailed and called several times yesterday for updates. Because it still isnā€™t ready, my husband called the financial aid office this morning. He spoke with someone very nice who apologized that they were scrambling to get all the financial packages out. Which seems to indicate a multiple people admitted this week and offers being made in batches as expected.

Just called AO, call was super brief ā€¦was informed that WL still open and offers are dispersed.

What did he/she mean by ā€œdispersedā€? Does this mean all offers are already given?

No idea. It was hurried from her side. Its up for interpretation. I thot it meant getting dispersed still in burst. Again my interpretation since the call was 5 secs

I also feel like the person probably just speaking something to just answer calls. Its open til they call it closed.

Iā€™ve given up hope at this point. Iā€™m just going to get into the mindset that the waitlist is almost closed (if not already closed).
