still waiting in South Jersey, just outside Philly…
I have friends still waiting to hear who live in and around Philly, and haven’t heard of anyone from my school who has received the “official” acceptance package (a few received invites and early acceptances). Maybe since they have to send out 37,000 (the number of applicants NYU had this year!) letters they send them out over a few days? (Is it even possible to send 37,000 letters in one day? Where would they put them all?)

They said “near April 1” and that’s tomorrow…

I just want a letter, whether it’s acceptance or rejection so I can let all this admissions angst go and make a final decision. I have been accepted to some great schools so far so I’m at the point where I’ll be happy no matter what.

(But it would be freakin amazing to be accepted to NYU!)

Good luck, everyone! I know the waiting is really, really, hard. I do think your wait is almost over, though. (No, I have no special knowledge. Sorry!)

still waiting in ga

Same in the Chicagoland area… my friend applied for Stern, and I for Tisch, and we are both still waiting…

Let’s just hope they all arrive in one big wave tomorrow!

Good to know I’m not the only one still waiting. I second Wheresmyvoice I got accepted to some great schools but I just want to KNOW already…

Well here it is, April 1st and STILL nothing in upstate NY. Is that a definite “no”?

mamoo, NOBODY can tell you if it is an acceptance or denial. There is NO way of knowing. It ain’t over until the fat lady sings. (keeping to the musical theme here!)

nothing again today. the thing is that if i would have gotten accepted somewhere already, i’d be ok because at least i would have an IDEA of what’s going on, but I have only been rejected to one school and I haven’t heard anything from the others, so I’m just wondering what i will do if i get rejected from EVERY school like the first one.

aaahhhhhh

I may be completely wrong in saying this, but I think if I were on the edge of my seat, I may call. The least they can tell you is…it’s in the mail.

At the risk of sticking my foot in my mouth again (as I did the other day on here), my daughter was speaking with someone in the Tisch office today and they said they were e-mailing the studios this week. Again, this is second hand so take it for what it is worth.

Nothing today in Massachusetts.

Has anyone heard anything about Steinhardt MT? I have posted on that thread but have not seen any admittances, there or on the “big list.”

I don’t think it’s a set rejection, I know kids who were accepted who still haven’t received their packets. It’s hard to wait, but we just have to hang in there!

I called the Drama Department today and the lady said 7-10 days.

7-10 days for what…studio assignments or acceptance/rejections?

Well, I’m still waiting and I don’t understand why that is, if other people in PA have received acceptances on SATURDAY. I mean, I know the USPS isn’t the most reliable public service, but come on! Really? To the other people waiting: Did you receive an invitation to the accepted students day or not?

No, I didn’t recieve an invitation. Did you MusicEtc?

No invitation here either…
