Congratulations! Bad news usually does not involve a package tracking number - it would be an email that starts with “We are sorry to inform you…”
If you don’t mind me asking, are you folks international or domestic? Some schools send packages a few days early to make sure international families receive them on M10.
LOL - indeed! Thanks - will be interesting to see how our kid chooses. If nothing else, she’s getting nice confidence boosts between success in private day schools and this little nugget!
Lville package tends to arrive before M10. We also got the post notification before it came, but we hid it from our daughter so that she would be properly surprised with her other news. Note: There were schools that we did not receive notifications from, yet still got packages from. The system is not fool proof. Good luck to all. Remember to love the school that loves you, and no matter what your children will have grown immensely from the experience.
Hey! I did not receive the package email, however, I I did receive a personalized email referring to my essay from the interim Dean of Admissions, and I am not sure what to think of this. Any help is much appreciated. I originally thought the email was a good sign, but now that I haven’t received the package notification i’m wondering if it was just a way to let me down slowly. For reference if it was via alphabetical order my last name is F and I am from AZ.
We see a PEA Fedex package on the Delivery Manager. Hoping it is a good sign! Anyone else? Is there a discord server or chat group of current students to join?
Congratulations to all who’ve received notifications!
This is the part of the process where I feel for those who don’t get a notification before M10. Waiting is hard, but it is even harder when you read that others are getting some good news early and you didn’t. My DS got two packages last year but got a notification for only one of them, and there are numerous stories like that in these threads. Please hang in there! Keep hope alive! You may even experience more joy on M10 for the added anticipation.
Grasping at straws here…Does anyone know whether accepted PGs get the same “outgoing label” package in the same batch? I know that PGs are generally treated the same way as other students at prep school, but I’m wondering (and hoping!) that PGs might get a separate approach.
Quick Question on package pick up timing. As of now all of the USPS statuses are showing as “Pre-Shipment”, When do they start shipping the packages ? Do they time to ship/deliver them on the M10 ?
Our USPS status also shows as Pre-Shipment. They probably want the packages to arrive on Monday.
Also, FWIW, my child who applied a couple years ago never received a notification for a package. But he was admitted when we checked the portal on M10.
Last year we received two pre-shipment notifications - one UPS and one USPS, but shipments didn’t start moving until after M10 (M10 was a Sunday). DS stayed up almost the entire night on M9 to wait for the official email.
Good luck to everyone!!
To the posters and commenters who have been through this process already: has anyone ever received a pre-shipment notification and then NOT received an acceptance? My kid has a pre-shipment notification, but we haven’t shared that with her because it seemed too tentative.
