Acceptance Mail/Package

While I am sure it is good news. Best to wait till it comes so not to ruin the surprise. Additionally, it is assurance on a stressful day.

what school would that be from? Andover?

Did you get an email notification from the school (like Lville had sent out earlier this week), or from UPS itself? Our address is a mail office not our home address, and when I tried to create notification alerts with Fedex and USPS, it said that since it’s not a residential address, I can’t get notifications from them :frowning: We got the Lville one since that was an email sent from the school not from USPS

I am not sure if there is any other boarding school around this Andover address. It’s a UPS package notification sent to our home address. It can be hard to wait until M10 especially with the weekend. Good luck!

Do you also live in the NE im from Texas, so maybe it was another batch?

It’s surprising that some schools have generated notices already. In past years, they showed up mostly on the 7th through the 9th. So if you haven’t gotten a notice, don’t worry about it yet. Most haven’t been started yet, and even those that have started (like PEA and Andover) will create labels over the next day or so.

Also, please remember that many packages arrive without notices.

Finally, it’s also possible for schools to turn off notices when using FedEx. Not sure about the other carriers, but your top school might have paid a little extra to shut off that feature.

Stay strong and positive, and best of luck to everyone on this chat!

Not really in NE.

Brooks School is in North Andover

Oh okay!

We did not apply to Brooks.

So a UPS package from North Andover is really from Andover. That’s helpful. Thanks Ivylege.

What would be a reason I wouldnt recieve a notification from a school that others have? (Beside the obvious)

Tons of reasons. One example - packages are sent in batches (50 wave 1 [perhaps sent to farther addresses], 50 wave 2, etc.).

It’s hard but try not to read into everything. It’ll drive you nuts.

pOpbon is right. Also, the notifications don’t always come through regardless. Our DS got one last year, but got two acceptances. I don’t know why but they just don’t always show up. I’d guess it is because there can be slight variations in the address (123 Main St. vs. 123 Main Street), or many other things.

When I order things online, I sometimes get a notice for UPS or FedEx deliveries, but not always.

Neither my parents nor me has any shipping account so were wondering if that may be an issue.

Same

Not having an account isn’t an issue in terms of acceptances or receiving a box. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that you won’t have any indication of whether you were accepted until M10. On the other hand, you won’t be freaking out over the next couple of days worrying about notifications. Just waiting for M10, like we’re supposed to, is probably healthier.

My mom caught wind of the whole package tracking thing and blocked all of the sites (UPS, Fedex, USPS) for particularly this reason. At first I was annoyed, and planning on skirting around the restriction by using a VPN or checking at school, but I realized it’s much healthier to find out on M10 organically than to spend my weekend worrying about package notifications. I advise others to do the same and not stress if they’ve already set up and haven’t received anything

USPS label is showing up from Pitney Bowes, but originating in Lakeville CT

Sorry to bother! When I got my Lville email it gave me a tracking # and I didn’t have to login or create an account was it the same for your Andover and Exeter notifications or did they come from the actual shipping sites
