Accepted to U.Wash-Seattle. Now what? + More questions...

<p>Hi all</p>

<p>I’ve been accepted to UW-Seattle for Fall 2012 term in College of Sciences. I’m from India BTW.</p>

<p>I have checked [Materials</a> for Admission | Admissions | University of Washington](<a href=“http://admit.washington.edu/drupal/Welcome/International]Materials”>http://admit.washington.edu/drupal/Welcome/International) and it says I need to confirm my enrollment. I’m still waiting for the mail to arrive, so I can do everything.</p>

<p>So after I send that forms and NSEOF fee until 1 May 2012 to confirm my enrollment, what after that? What do I do after that? For visa, other docs, etc?</p>

<p>Also, my Class xii (final high school year) result will be out in June. Will I be needed to send those as well?</p>

<p>Also, is there any fin aid package for Intl freshmen? On CollegeBoard, I see that the annual fee for OOS student is $41,252 (On Campus) and $42,023 (Off Campus). How are the two different? I mean when I live off-campus, shouldn’t the price be slashed?</p>

<p>Congratulations to you on your acceptance at UW.</p>

<p>Confirm your enrollment, if this is your first choice, then there is no point in waiting.</p>

<p>You will start geting notifications from the college after you confirm your enrollment to the College. You can confirm online too. The earlier you confirm the sooner your formalities get started in the College data base and they in turn keep notify you one step at a time.</p>

<p>Yes you do need to send Class 12 results.</p>

<p>OOS stands for Out Of State, in this case it means all students who do not reside in the State of Washington, WA, as well as all International Students. It has nothing to do with On-Campus or Commuter student. The On-Campus Room and Board charges are not included in the above cost which is just the Tuition Fee for 2012-13.</p>

<p>The International package questions can be answered by the University only as each college has its own policy on that.</p>

<p>The preparation and scheduling and attention to details and making the process extremely student friendly, the whole process is phenomenal. It looks like a lot of work to you and me but every little detail and timing of is taken care of. All you need to do is get hooked to the college website and keep exploring and get familiar with each page and its links.</p>

<p>Don’t worry they work years in advance to deal with the details. For example you will be surprised that the academic calendar for entire 4 years at college will be before you begin classes. and it will have details from first day of classes to last of classes and day of the last exam in order for you to make your travel arrangements etc.</p>

<p>And from then on you have 4-5 months for all the required paperwork and formalities. </p>

<p>On the CC website, it does say that everything is included. I think 42k just for tuition is a lot.</p>

<p>Also, I have emailed UW with these questions. Hopefully, they’ll reply soon. But I don’t want to enroll unless I receive the physical letter, and know what will I be required to do after confirming my enrollment. That’s because I’m giving entrance exams here in India as well, and I don’t mess any thing up. But yes, I’ll confirm my enrollment, that’s for sure.</p>
