I applied SCEA on 11/14, got my Gibson login in the email today and was already accepted when I logged in.
It really is kind of random, guys. Reading these tea leaves will only get you eye strain. There are students at both ends of the stat scale (borderline on the low end, Ivy level on the other) that sometimes take longer, although even then you find exceptions. Less than one month now, so best to just try and occupy your mind with other things.
And the parents/students posting here are just a small representation of applicants.
I applied early action but was told I wouldn’t hear back until mid December…?

@xxdanixx did you apply SCEA or EA? Where else did you apply? You have high scores so you might be viewed as using Tulane as a safetly.
@DebmomNY I doubt that’s it. Her SAT is within the middle 50, not above, so Tulane is more of a match. But @xxdanixx, I wouldn’t read into it that much
I have a 2080 SAT, 4.0 unweighted GPA (5.06 weighted), and am in the top 3% of my class. Do you think I will get in?
@student9988 I think you’ve got an excellent chance. If you didn’t write the supplement, you might be viewed as applying to Tulane as a safety because of your high GPA and class rank. However, your SAT is in the middle-50, so I think you might be okay even then.
ETA: Assuming your ECs, etc. match.
Does anyone know if Tulane does thing thing where they try to increase diversity without calling it affirmative action? Like if I’m Asian, will that help me here as opposed to being an anti-hook in a Cali school?
Pretty sure even if they did being Asian wouldn’t help you, but I’m no expert
It might help a little, but maybe only to break a tie or something like that. Remember, AA is designed to improve enrollment of underrepresented groups. Even though Asians (which is ridiculously broad anyway) are not at Tulane in the kinds of numbers they are at some schools, I don’t think you could say they are underrepresented.
@fallenchemist Not trying to change the topic from admissions to minorities, but do you know if Tulane is lenient with Latinos? I don’t know if I’m technically a URM since I’m from South America, but I was just wondering if you would know of any impact it would have for Tulane.
Has anyone from Ohio heard back yet? Starting to get nervous especially because it’s one of my top choices even if my stats may be a bit higher than their mid-50…
I am from Ohio and have not heard anything yet! Tulane is definitely my top choice but my scores are on the lower end 
I wrote really good essays (both of them) and had great recommendations and a good GPA. Also, I’ve kept good contact with the admissions counselor! The only thing holding me back is my ACT score! I applied on 11/13
I do believe Tulane would like to see an increase in students that identify as Hispanic. But I believe they are also trying to increase the number of international students. It all increases diversity of one kind or another. But everyone should keep in mind that the primary role of any admissions office, especially at academically competitive schools, is to make sure that students that are accepted are likely to be successful. Allowances for diversity, athletic talent, big donations, or whatever can only go so far. But again, if it comes down to a pool of students that seem to have similar credentials statistically, I have to believe that those that can help meet other goals would get the nod. After all, something has to break the tie, and universities are not 100% about academic credentials, especially these days.
