How are deferral notifications supposed to come out? I know by mail, but do they come in waves?

@randomstudent02745 it appears they are. Someone earlier said that they were deferred a while back and just got admitted but others haven’t heard anything yet. I’d assume they aren’t done yet.
@kesnyder5 I recieved an email that said I was accepted in the very early morning hours. After they have made a decision on your application it won’t let you log onto the portal without setting up this two set verification thing and that’s how I knew a decision was made. I haven’t received my packet in the mail yet but I’m hoping it’ll come soon! I hope your son gets a decision soon!! I know how hard it is to wait this long!!
@19Graduate My portal was down on Sunday, but I think a lot of person’s were. Does this actually mean they are changing the decision? Will they even change your status on the portal if they plan on emailing you the decision?
@randomstudent02745 the portal is down for everyone on Sunday for “maintenance”, think that’s what they call it.
@randomstudent02745 After I completed the 2 step verification it did let me log onto my portal and it changed to admitted. I just couldn’t see the status of my application until it prompted me to step up the verification (which seemed weird to me) so then I checked my email and saw I go in. The email was sent 24 hours before I even found out that it was there! Oh well it was still nice finding out lol!
D got a postcard from Ohio State today, saying they’re preparing her financial aid offer, and to keep an eye on her BuckeyeMail. Did everyone get this? Just wondering bc we didn’t apply for financial aid…wondering whether she may get some merit. (She was accepted in January.)
@momzilla2D - We got the same postcard. Was hoping for a letter. Giving it said that the email will give instruction on accepting or declining the financial aid, I’m assuming that my S is not getting any merit scholarships. He was accepted OOS in Nov and exceeds the National Buckeye score for ACT. He’s top 15% but his HS only reports in quartiles so they would report top 25%. I am hoping htat I am wrong.

@Tx12345 Same here. Except D’s school doesn’t rank. SAT is in range, but I don’t think everyone who qualifies gets it. Still hoping but not expecting it.
Can anyone confirm if you receive the post card that your financial aid offer is coming that you DID not receive scholarships?? Specifically oss buckeye
My son received the Provost and National Buckeye scholarships. We did not apply for financial aid, and we DID still get that postcard in the mail yesterday that his financial aid offer is coming. I am thinking that went out to all admitted.
