When do deferral decisions typically come out?
Updated admissions data if anyone cares…
Are more decisions coming out today?
are there different decision dates for ohio state?
Thanks @STEM2017 I see we are both still waiting…
i got my acceptance letter in the mail today
Good luck @kesnyder5 ! At this point my son is starting to move on. But that always changes when good news comes along.
im hoping to hear back soon as well IS with a 30ACT 4.1 GPA in comp and info science, seeing that its growth has doubled has me a little worried
We got the same postcard today. We also got the letter for National Buckeye.
Getting the Buckeye Scholarship was the feather that tipped the scales in favor of OSU. Unless something crazy happens, he will be a Buckeye come Fall semester!
Got the national buckeye scholarship in the mail today by total surprise, 100% did not expect this generous offer. Like mentioned by others, this pretty much seals the deal.
@cashcarti Considering how hard it is to get any merit aid nowadays from any public university, much less one that ranks among the top national research universities in the country like OSU, it’s hard to say no ?
Did you all apply early action
@Watch37 For sure. Beyond grateful for this honor. My school doesn’t report rank but has some sort of similar metric, and I don’t think I actually meet the rank requirement, though my standardized test scores were quite a bit above, which maybe have compensated for that. Nonetheless, don’t completely count yourself out of scholarships even if you don’t seem to meet the requirements.
Did anyone’s portal update yesterday?
Someone may have mentioned this, but interesting that admissions are up 8% over ‘18, but acceptance fees paid are down 9%. I’m curious if the increase in EA has caused more admissions early but students still decide in the same approximate timeframe which leads to more deferrals until those decisions are made.
@ca1171 I had called admissions yesterday and they had said there wouldn’t be a wave and most admissions would come out mid march.
D got letter yesterday and received National Buckeye. 29 ACT, 1340 SAT, 4.2 weighted GPA (not sure about unweighted.) Congrats to everyone else, and this just might tip her in OSU favor over University of Maryland (We live in Maryland.) Good luck to everyone else!
Ugh this is where my frustration is. My D has a 4.4 weighted and 29 act and has not received a thing. Oh well, she’s considering her other options at this point. Congratulations everyone who has received!
@cllp2023 Have you called admissions? I called once and learned they had a problem receiving her transcript, but after I called things seemed to move quicker. Also her counselor called and took the blame for the transcript mess up and that might have helped. Good luck!
