@YS1111 No. Colleges treat the two tests the same. You sent the stronger score in; don’t send the weaker one.

@msiebert: During the Fisher Admissions tour they stated that anyone accepted w a 3.0 GPA & 30 or above ACT would be a direct admit…so I think your D chances are very good! Hang in there & good luck!

I am afraid the low SAT will hurt me the most. Do I have a chance with such a low score?
Quick question - I’ve received a Maximus Scholarship notification in the mail; however, I applied back in November for the Morrill and Eminence scholarships. Does that mean I’m no longer being considered for those two scholarships, or is there still a possibility of future notifications?

@middleclassman Until you hear otherwise, assume that you are still be considered. Morrill sends out final rejections in March.
@missdior while I can’t chance you for finance major, maybe someone else can. However, no one can chance you for financial aid. That is all dependent on your parents income and how much money you and they have in the bank. That you will just have to wait on. Good luck!

I don’t want to make everyone panic, but I read last year decision discussion forum, it make me panic, my son is still in evaluation with 3.67 uwgpa(4.0 weighed) and 35 act, with 8 ap courses with ap distinct award, for engineering major.
osu sent out results on Jan,18,25 and 31.last year. los of acceptances on Jan,25 had Act 27-29 and gpa was around 3.65-4.0 unweighted, but on Jan 31, lots of 3.9 gpa with 33 act got deferred, those for engineering major,even one kid deferred with 3.8+ gpa with 35 act, also national merit semi finalist, art and science major,someone said, “are you joking?” about that.
since so many applicants, osu administration people spend 7-9 min for each applicant and decide resulta according to collegevine, then how can osu defer those good grade students? according to last year decision forum, something didn’t make sense, they got good ec, volunteering, rigor courses, too.

I saw that comment as well & as concerning it may be… you can never be too sure as to how accurate the many comments of utter strangers may be. Also, there may be negative components in one’s application that somebody may intentionally not mention in their comment

any truth to the rumor that the application status is blank the night before you hear when you click on it? mine just went blank
Exactly the conclusion I came to as well. Could be a poor recommendation, disciplinary action, or who knows, an entirely made up story like the people who’ve enthusiastically stated they’ve been accepted when it’s made clear the next week in the datasets that no new releases happened. This waiting is awful. Best of luck to everyone!
