Hi all, D20 got accepted tonight. So of course we have moved on to the next stage of to dos. I was looking into admitted student visit. It seems you need to setup your buckeye email before you can schedule one, is this correct? The instructions seem to say there should be a button on your home screen once you log in to create a buckeye email account, but I don’t seem to see it on her account. Any one do this yet? Thanks in advance.
I checked at 8p ET but not sure how long it has been. First check if the day.
My daughter had the same issue. There is no menu item to set up buckeye email. Perhaps she has to wait for official email of acceptance? I’m guessing that’s the issue.

@dtr123 yes, you are correct. I called IT and they said that since our daughter was just admitted, it’s too early to set up the account. An accepted student’s status has to change in their system. Once it does, there will be a button on the left side of my.osu.edu that will read “Change email delivery.” If we don’t see that by Monday or Tuesday, we can call Student Services and they should know when that status change will be initiated.

this was my daughter’s first choice and we still didn’t hear…I am disgusted with this process…do they release on Saturday or just fridays? Also is there another wave next week or do we now have to wait another two weeks?
This is so ridiculous. My son applied on 10/20/19 and it is now January 18th with no response. It is so frustrating to wait.
Daughter applied Aug 19. We are still waiting as well. OOS. 5.08 GPA 1390 SAT. Lots of AP. Dance team Captain. Lots of ECs. Disappointed we still haven’t heard after 5 months. This is the first choice dream school. Hoping for another round next week but based on what people have posted, we are getting prepared for another 2 week wait.
Congratulations to everyone who was lucky enough to hear early. This process has taken entirely too long for us and my daughter has decided to commit to another school as she is ready for next steps. We waited until yesterday to send in her deposit “just in case” she heard for OSU and changed her mind. I will just take this as a sign that this isn’t the school for her. We have been very impressed with Miami University and the merit awards. Good luck to everyone.

I’m not sure why people talk about it taking so long. They’re very clear about when to expect the decision by. I heard from my first choice in April if my senior year! And it’s not a sign of anything (except maybe the impatience of parents based on social media posts of others acceptance).
