Amazing Race 28

I only saw the last 10 minutes and was coming on here to ask what happened to them. Now I know. I never thought Sherri and Cole would make it this far.

Wow! Not what I expected at all. You got to give it to Sherri, she doesn’t give up. Glad they aren’t doing the four teams for the start of the final leg this time.

Burnie and Ashley spent 40 minutes at the unicycle. If they’d gone to the art task first, they would have beaten Sheri and Cole easily. As it was, they were only 5 minutes behind them checking in. A bad decision can kill you, especially at this point in the race where there are so few teams left.

I liked the episode. I don’t know if it’s just an impression but it seems that there has been a lot of bunching this season, more so than in previous seasons. I don’t know if that was intentional or not. I liked all four of the remaining teams. Initially, I found Sheri and Cole annoying but they really grew on me in the past few weeks.

I hope the final leg is interesting and I hope that it’s close so that it’s exciting. It seems as though this season has flown by!

Tyler and Corey seem to be very cocky after two firsts in a row. They couldn’t have picked two weaker teams to compete against in the finals. It could come down to which teammate has to do the last few challenges.

Liked watching the teams compete in a city in China that I’ve never even heard of.

I don’t like any of the 3 remaining teams (only the boy in the girl/boy team). They were all so glad the mom/son won, but they weren’t so nice to them in the oil change challenge. In fact, I don’t think the Tyler Corey team has helped anyone anywhere along the line, bUT expect every one to help them. I don’t like them the most. I want the boy from the boy/girl team to win by himself.

very surprising to see Sheri and Cole in the finals. Did Ashley and Burnie reallly spend 40 minutes doing the first detour? That was not a good decision. Sheri and Cole did not even get there until A&B had left. I still think they were lucky and perhaps less deserving, but luck is always part of the race. They had easy speed bumps compared to last season and certainly easier than the U turn last week.

I hope the dancers manage to pull it out. They are not a bad team and have grown on me. Tyler and Corey did work with the dancers this leg and even would have worked with Burnie but he threw them under the bus with Sheri about the first clue location.

I’ll be thrilled if Tyler and Corey or Sherri and Cole win. I did think it was sweet that the first two teams were rooting to see Sherri and Cole come around that corner for third.

Staging is everything in this show when it comes to viewership likes/dislikes. Ashley and Burnie got great staging - until this leg - when Burnie seemed like a jerk - why wouldn’t the first two teams work together on that challenge - it was the perfect time and moment to work together to try and stay in first and keep your lead.

Amazing Race is tricky - when do you help ,when don’t you? Just because someone decides to ask for clue help or clue box help or whatever - are you a bad person because you don’t help? Most of the teams were hiding their clue when they found it - is that bad too? Unless you are deliberately trying to sabotage a team (take their backpack for instance) it’s about gaining a lead through completing tasks, being efficient, making an alliance when it works for you and not making an alliance when you won’t benefit.

That motorized unicycle or whatever you call it - how ridiculously hard was that! And it seemed they had to go so far down the road!!!

Sweet? Burnie and Ashley were a stronger team. That was self interest.

Could have been. But there was a lot of genuine hugging and I think they was a lot of love going for Sherri and her efforts.

I thought they were rooting for Sheri and Cole because they thought Ashley and Burnie were a much bigger threat to win. It is hard to tell with the edit, but seemed like Sheri and Cole were not that far behind since the other two teams were still waiting on the mat. I think A&B gave up too soon.

Sherri and Cole were smart enough to realize that if they switched tasks, they’d be in last anyway, so they decided to stick it out with the scooter. It worked for them.

I am rooting for Sherri and Cole. I think this is the best showing for a parent/ kid team ever. Or at least of what I’ve seen. And both of them have worked so hard. In each scene I see them mending their relationship more and more.

I’m kind of rooting for them, too. After teams conspired to get rid of my frisbee boys I think it’d be hilarious if Sherri and Cole won.

For some reason I am rooting for Matt and Dana. I know Dana loses it sometimes, but I imagine if I was under the stress of the race I would have a very hard time keeping it together too.

When I heard this season of Amazing Race was going to be cast with “reality stars”, I wasn’t sure I’d get past the first episode.
Amazingly, though, I’ve enjoyed this season immensely. All the contestants seem respectful of their partners, very little sniping etc; I really like all of them.
I’ll be happy with whomever wins!

I’m not going to lie. I’d be crying like Sheri doing that first task.

Me too, @Youdon’tsay! My husband said he wouldn’t do it so I guess we’d be out. Amazing Race isn’t for those afraid of heights!

Not a very suspenseful finish. I’d have been happy with any of the 3 teams winning, though.

Disappointing to me - wanted tyler/corey to win given how well they’ve done the whole race. Really appreciate how they didn’t get angry/implode when having to take multiple tries to complete something like that roof jump. Just easy going nice guys. Hate the Bickerson’s won - seriously.

Dana and Matt ran a really good leg. Can’t wait til next season!
