Amazon Prime Day July 8-11

Well, my “new” Keurig came. It has a water reservoir in the back, allows choice of 8, 10 or 12 ounces and has a “strong” brewing option. It came with a coupon for coffee pods. Unfortunately the coupon expired at the end of June! I wonder how old this coffee pot is!

Which qi charger did you get? Just got a wireless charging Pixel 9a phone. I can charge wireless in my car and looking for one for the office or home. Not sure flat or stand? Not sure who makes one that lasts. Reviews are all over the place with them it seems

On the phone note Google has a sale just $50 off their newer 9a phone but they are giving $150 since I am part of a battery recall. So combining that the new phone cost me $299.00 But they didn’t take my old phone. So I am going to go on Amazon and replace that battery with the help of you tube , for like $15.00. Now I can use that phone at work just on wifi. I do AI medical charting and use the phone to get the conversation into my medical charts. This way I can just leave it in the office which is technically the correct way to do it. I can use an iPad but too large. Phone goes into my scrub pocket and done. OK, way to much information :joy:. (9a is awesome BTW)

Just a small thing but I bought these a few months ago and am now getting some for my kids - cord clips that are so handy in bedrooms and such to keep your plug ins handy and neat. The magnetic feature works well. Just a few dollars but less headaches from cords hanging and dripping on the floor!

That’s the puzzle thing I got but I got the 1500 piece size. I’m actually like it because I can do the puzzle but also bring up different like colors on the sides and below the puzzle to do. So everything isn’t in the drawers. And 1000 pieces don’t all FIT in the drawers anyway!

Right. I understand that perk of the larger size. But the table I would use mine on is actually a coffee table so practically the smaller actual 1000 piece size is better for me - I haven’t bought yet though!

Interesting. It does seem that other retailers have stepped up their sales games this week too.

I have an old & less fancy iPhone (2020 SE) so I bought a very inexpensive Anker($14) stand charger. I currently have the same Anker charger but it’s malfunctioning for some reason.

Thx. There just seems to be lots of them and most reviews aren’t great. Lol

Be careful! Other Anker products, a portable charger, has been recalled due to causing fires

Only certain power banks (aka rechargeable batteries) are being recalled.

You’re welcome. I’m considering the puzzle table my first Christmas purchase.

I Christmas shop all year long. If I don’t I will either forget what I thought was “the perfect gift” or will no longer be able to find it. So I buy when I see it or add it to Saved Items to buy during the big sales.

The more it gets mentioned the closer I get to buying the rotating puzzle table for myself. If CC ever sells decals I’ll brand it in honor of this thread.

ETA: I didn’t intend to respond to twinanddone. Just a general comment.

Yep- I saw that on line on the recall notice . But given that her other anker product was acting a little wonky it would make me a little nervous.

We don’t know what “wonky” meant.

I’d like to replace my 7th generation IPad which won’t take an upgrade until I delete many things which I don’t want to delete. Saw one on Prime Days sale but when I looked to compare Walmart had it for the same sale price. I think other retailers are more ready for Prime Days than they once were. Decided not to get the IPad right now because we’ve got a number of travel expenses this summer. I’m hoping for a good Black Friday sale.

You’ve given a great idea I’m going to start - making one of my Amazon lists be “GIFTS” - anytime I see a gift item (whether I’m going to buy it on Amazon or not) I’ll add it to that list and then when a bday or holiday comes up I can go through that list and find things that apply to the person I need to gift to!

And referring to a different post, I would never take for granted that a Prime Day sale is the best deal you’re going to get. Sure you’ll find stuff at other retailers for less. I think the point is SOME stuff is the best price and then while you’re shopping you might find other stuff that is a GOOD price - and the ease of it being right there makes it easy to add to your cart.

Which honestly is probably the strategy for many retailers.

Just priced neutrogena face sunblock 50 to compare. Amazon around $7 said retail around double. Walmart around $12. So yes a deal.

She said hers was malfunctioning for some reason. I use “wonky” to mean something is awry, something is wrong. Its shorter to type than “malfunctioning for some reason”

Most likely not charging due to the phone age and worn out metal contacts or dirt inside the charge port. Let’s not spread fear that all Anker products are defective.
