Amazon Prime Day July 8-11

I just sent that puzzle to the kids as Christmas idea!

And I totally ended up buying it last night and it arrived this morning!

I got anker chargers for me and my kids around Christmas. I loved mine and used it all the time for 3 months. Then on Palm Sunday, during the Masters, I was charging it and noticed it was really hot. Really hot. I unplugged it and it would never take another charge or charge my phone. I contacted Anker, and then forgot about it, but they actually sent me a follow up and I missed that but later found it (in JUNE) in my inbox and contacted them and they sent me a new one. I charged it, threw out the box, and when I went to use it, the 4 lights came on and then then blinked off and…nothing.

So I contacted them again and they are supposed to send me another one but it hasn’t arrived yet.

I don’t really have a lot of hope that this will be better, and now with the recall, even less hope.

For me it is the Anker product. The phone charges just fine with cords. And the replacement one was a contact issue as the 4 lights came on but then went off immediately. My daughters liked theirs but one said hers stopped working and the other got a new IPhone with a UCB-C plug so her anker has the wrong one now.

It’s the Anker charger that’s not working right. Phone charges fine with a cord. Phone also charges fine on other qi chargers. Just not the Anker charger on my nightstand.

The phone works perfectly and I plan to keep it until the battery needs replacing. Or maybe even longer, depending on how much a new battery costs.

Yea, I’m reluctant to replace tech when it’s working pretty well. It seems quite wasteful, even if you return for credit toward a new whatever. I have an iPhone 13 phone mini that works just fine. I plan to keep using it until they stop updating it.

My Anker is a little easel. Any phone with any kind of plug can be charged on it. Phone just rests on the easel. There is no ā€œplugā€ on the charger.

Getting back to Prime Days…

I haven’t found a single thing I want my husband to buy for me during Prime Days.

The cats’ flea meds were 30% off, so I got a box. Does that count? My cats were overjoyed

Everything I ordered yesterday just arrived but I still get the 7% cash back on my Amazon VISA because I said ā€œwheneverā€ is fine. And I got a separate order I did last week that was supposed to arrive on the 15th.

Didn’t buy much – just Cascade and golf gloves.

Knock off replacement filters for the cat fountains. USB-C to USB-C power cords and vanilla extract.

Oops! The literal bottom of the sugar shaker fell off this morning so I just bought a replacement.

I keep eyeing the Rubbermaid Brilliance food storage containers. We already have some, but there’s never enough…

Which brand?

Vanity Fair. I find it so comfortable and holds the girls up nicely without stretching out

That’s the one I purchase over and over and over again (according to my history). I love it.

I accidentally destroyed my favorite pot by HexClad by baking a piece of plastic onto its bottom. :frowning: Can’t scrape it, it is welded tight.

The good news is that pot is on sale at Amazon! So a replacement is on the way.

I also splurged on a couple of Sand Cloud towels.

The rest of my purchases were toddler clothes! Bebe had another growth spurt. And puzzles for her big cousins.
