I’m feeling a little ticked off about this!
I use it a fair bit… at least a couple times a month…but not really looking for an increase!

This stinks. 20% is a big increase.
Eep. I still use it enough to make it worth it but still… eep.
I use Amazon so much they could triple the cost and I would still keep it.
They tried it a few years ago and got a lot of pushback for trying to raise it so high, so thats when, IIRC, they “only” raised it to $99 then. This was only a matter of time, sadly.
I never had the membership. Once or twice, I took their free trial. I cancelled it before it expired. Don’t understand why anyone would pay for it. I always get a free shipping anyway.
Ive never had Amazon prime…but so many other places are now shipping for free…without having to pay a membership fee.
Student Amazon Prime will increase from $49 to $59/year.
And eventually it will be several thousand but our only choice for any shopping or media delivery…oh, wait, I woke up…or did I? How ubiquitous will they become?

I’ll keep it. It’s worth it to me especially since four of us get the use of it. I’m waiting for the day when I can order my prescription meds from Amazon.
I am addicted to Amazon and receive packages often. Stinks the price will increase but they are not making money on me :))
At least half the things I order on Amazon are books and wines going to family/friends in other states. Neither is terribly cheap to mail - heavy and bulky. While I resent the hike, it’s still cheaper for me to go with Prime.
Shipping to HI is still an extra charge with many vendors. Generally not an extra charge with amazon prime. H likes ordering big, bulky, heavy tbj gs that would otherwise be very costly to ship (lawnmower, mower bag, range hood), so we feel for shipping alone it works for us.
Factoring in cost savings on many items I have purchased on Amazon as well as saving gas and time … I am okay with the increase
I ditched Amazon a few months ago after too many bad customer service experiences and I feel much lighter now!
I like prime for the “free” reading and video options. I often see a magazine I’d like to look at and get some benefit there. The quick shipping is also a bonus!
I download way more than $120 worth of “free” music and videos during the year and use the fast shipping at least once a week.

IMO, the free shipping and the free videos make it well worth the cost.
I’m on the fence. I need to look back at my order history and see just how many times I wouldn’t have qualified for free shipping, and whether it would have cost less than $119 to pay for 2-day shipping on those times when I really did need it right away. I’m also not sure we’d miss Prime Video now that we have Netflix. So it might not be worth it anymore.
