I am on the waiting list for a Kindle fire. I’m actually a bit annoyed because I probably could have gotten it earlier. Feedback said item was sold out and waiting list was closed. Second time I changed the color and made the waiting list.
I ended up buying a small appliance from Macy’s. A better deal, with the shipping waived.
Have any of you tried jet.com? I am on their beta testing. They open in 5 days and I got 5 giftcards for a free 1 year membership (but gave them to my bridge club). If you buy something somewhere else, like macy’s, you can email them your invoice and get jet credit. For example, jet partners with macys at 15%. So if you spent $200 at macys you could get $30 in jet $ credit to spend on jet.com
I just decided to request a cancellation of my purchase. Would rather spend a bit more and get the ones with the vanishing pantylines. If they don’t cancel, I am only out $15. We’ll see.
Sigh. I tried to cancel my order but, too late. And it wont be worth returning them. I am not even sure they are the right size, and I found something else I would have preferred. So much for impulse purchases. But, its only $15.
@raclut, agreed. The passive-aggressive side of me is tempted to place any future Amazon Prime orders one item at a time to maximize the shipping cost to Amazon.
I have a lovely supply of amazon shipping boxes of various shapes and sizes in the garage. They come in handy. I am using one today to ship a gift, as a matter of fact.
All the baby stuff are 100% claimed as soon as they were available. I click the “add to cart” button right on the second it is available but I was instantly put on waiting list as all the items are gone. Unbelievable ! I think people are using some high speed servers to purchase large quantities, just like buying sports tickets online as soon as they come on.
