Amazon Prime Planning Major "Black Friday" Event, July 15

I am on the waiting list for a Kindle fire. I’m actually a bit annoyed because I probably could have gotten it earlier. Feedback said item was sold out and waiting list was closed. Second time I changed the color and made the waiting list.

I ended up buying a small appliance from Macy’s. A better deal, with the shipping waived.

Thanks for the heads up on Macy’s shipping deal.

Have any of you tried jet.com? I am on their beta testing. They open in 5 days and I got 5 giftcards for a free 1 year membership (but gave them to my bridge club). If you buy something somewhere else, like macy’s, you can email them your invoice and get jet credit. For example, jet partners with macys at 15%. So if you spent $200 at macys you could get $30 in jet $ credit to spend on jet.com

Reminds me of their alerts when something in my shopping cart changes price by $.20 <<<

Such an annoyance! Not getting alerts is such a better alternative!

I just decided to request a cancellation of my purchase. Would rather spend a bit more and get the ones with the vanishing pantylines. If they don’t cancel, I am only out $15. We’ll see.

Checked my amazon wishlist this morning and absolutely nothing in it was on sale.

I recently signed up for jet.com We shall see how that develops.

I have to say, not very impressed with these sales.

I think from now on I’m just going to ignore these shopping-frenzy days.

Has anyone seen any good deals on mini fridges (on here or anywhere else)?

Lord and Taylor and Macys has a better sale with free shipping.

Sigh. I tried to cancel my order but, too late. And it wont be worth returning them. I am not even sure they are the right size, and I found something else I would have preferred. So much for impulse purchases. But, its only $15.

Hmmm… so far, #PrimeDay is basically the weird guy at the end of the street having a yard sale. All the random stuff no single person should own.

It was just a gimmick to increase prime memberships.

@raclut, agreed. The passive-aggressive side of me is tempted to place any future Amazon Prime orders one item at a time to maximize the shipping cost to Amazon.

That no longer consistently works, yaupon, as now many items are considered an “add-on” which is a euphemism for required minimum purchase.

And they will still ship your order in a thousand little boxes! The UPS guy probably loves it!!!

I have a lovely supply of amazon shipping boxes of various shapes and sizes in the garage. They come in handy. I am using one today to ship a gift, as a matter of fact.

Century 21 Dept Stores is also waiving shipping today with the exception of a a few large items.

I just purchased an electric pressure cooker as it seemed to be a decent deal and my sister-in-law loves hers. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLYWNYQ?ref_=gb1h_tit_m-6_6222_86291157&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

All the baby stuff are 100% claimed as soon as they were available. I click the “add to cart” button right on the second it is available but I was instantly put on waiting list as all the items are gone. Unbelievable ! I think people are using some high speed servers to purchase large quantities, just like buying sports tickets online as soon as they come on.
