It used to be our family show we all would watch together. tonight, for about 20 minutes, we were all in the same room watching . . . that was nice.
yes abasket; that was hard to watch with the lady and baby and the manic toy ukulele. we have that same one with the dolphin on it; i dont think they took her seriously, but she was sure mad.
So annoying. Like usual, I’m in a hotel room and the channel keeps losing signal. So I just changed channels. Will have to read your updates and watch later!
I also liked the Indian girl and the kid who lost his brother. I made my D watch with me. She pretends she doesn’t want to, but I know she secretly likes it. haha
And, yeah, that wife was a shrew. She acted like he was trying to sabotage her! I hope that was just creative editing or that marriage could be in trouble.
Temper tantrum aside, I thought the wife deserved to go, she was at least as good as some of the others that they sent through. I can tell that the “this is your last chance” is going to make this season pretty emotional! The 15-year-old girl they opened with made me cry, thinking about all the kids that have watched this all their lives and dreamed of making it on to the show.
Maybe they didn’t put the wife through because someone had the sense to think that that small baby needed to have at least one parent caring for her!!!
I was wondering if the whole wife thing was a ploy to get her effeminate husband in. It made good TV to take one and reject the other.
My favorites were the hairdresser/cosmetologist and the Personal trainer that had lost 150 pounds.
I looked at past winners and I haven’t watched since 2007. It was fun watching again last night and I enjoyed the judges, too. Still miss Simon…hopefully he will make an appearance. I like not listening to the ridiculous wannabes that they used to have sing…except for that one Asian guy…haha…what was his name?

I doubt it. They’ve put through a number of single mothers. Seemed weirdly inappropriate to have the baby and spouse in the room. The wife seemed determined to spoil her husband’s joy. Maybe she’ll feel better when he gets booted.
At least that’s the little I saw before losing signal again.
I just don’t think they are thinking about the baby. They seem far too shallow. It’s all about making good tv, at least that’s what I think. If the wife was really great, she would go through, but there was nothing interesting about her or different.
I thought the girl from Massachusetts was great. She could win the whole thing. haha Unless the young man who lost his brother wins. Those two were my favorites. I loved seeing the old gang even if they were being super silly last night.
Interesting article today that Adam Lambert was the top Idol earner in 2015. I would have guessed Carrie Underwood but he beat her $10 million to $8 million.
Am still catching up via dvr for last night’s show. Fun to see some former contestants/winners doing some of the screening auditions.
Carrie had a baby in 2015 so that probably limited her # of appearances. Adam went on a world tour with Queen so…he made a ton of cash!
Only got an hour of tonights show in - will have to watch the rest tomorrow. My favorite tonight - the cute guy with the eyeliner who did the Phantom of The Opera song!
