<p>I am simply unable to find my Craigslist ad. From what I read, one’s ads can get “ghosted” which, from what I understand, means that it gets caught in CL’s spam filters. Just cannot figure what I am doing wrong. Does anyone have any tips on how to successfully post?

<p>Yes and yes.
And when I click on the link it takes me to the ad, but when as search for it on CL in the specific category it does not show up.</p>
<p>Did you have to put in a date as to when it should go live, or click anywhere to activate it? And are those all as they should be? (sort of like checking to see if it’s plugged in)</p>

<p>when you create the ad through a CL account, at the end you have to click on “Publish” for it to go live. And I did. I even got a confirmation email with a link that takes me right to the ad, but when I go in as a customer looking for that item, it does not show up in the category where I posted it. Ugh.
I googled “why can’t I find my Craigslist ad” and cannot find any solutions either.
Fendrock, there is no way to email CL, and I cannot imagine anyone answering on their end either

<p>Very irksome. Sounds like you hit a snafu.</p>
<p>You are in the right city, right? 
And you are certain you hit the ‘publish’ button. And it sounds like it has been a short period of time (a few days), so it won’t have ‘aged’ off the list. And you are certain what category you posted it in. When you go to the category in your city and scroll down through the ads (date-wise), it should appear on the date you first hit “publish”. If you update the info (eg, change price the next day), it will not bump up the list to the date you made the change. I would try scrolling down through the category you think you posted it in to find it (not searching) first.</p>
<p>This happens to me, too. When I check back later in the day, I see it.</p>
<p>It often takes a few hours to show up.</p>
<p>I have tried posting for several days and it has been a real pain with the ad simply not there. Yes, right city, state, published, email confirmation et al.
Anyhow, it finally showed up today after repeated attempts
