So.Much.Crying. Survivor is NOT the place to have a pity party.
Bhanu gets on my nerves! If I wanted to watch people crying, I would watch The Bachelor.
As always, the EW recap helps put stuff into context, especially the 4-day look back:
at least it did for me!
I was flying and didnāt get to watch this weekās episode. Sounds like I didnāt miss much.
I know Iām likely in the minority, but I am not a fan of 90 minute episodes. Especially, when stacked with TAR on the same night, 3 hours is way too much TV for my wife and me.
I agree. It it is tough to have them on the same night. I havenāt watched TAR yet.
I agree that my cup is already filled with Bhanuās tears. No more please!
That would be a shame that any parent would be less pleased for their son - or daughter- becoming a teacher instead of a doctor. The winners will be the students!
Well, Iām also concurrently watching Australian Survivor which is 3 episodes per week!! Not that Iām really complaining, because it has evolved into a superior product compared to the US version. Plus they still have themes - this season is Titans vs Rebels.
I get it. Iām just joking about some of the more entertaining titles of threads on CC.
I was happy to see Bhanu go. I was rather sick of the last 3 hours of the Bhanu show (2 episodes worth of Survivor). For supposed super fans, both he and Jess was so clueless about how to play the game.
I read the spoilers so I skipped Survivor last night and watched Amazing Race instead.
Both shows have many more super fans who arenāt really prepared for the game.
Way too much Bhanu!!!
Agree that the right person went. Yes he had an interesting and sad back story, but he had no ability to play the game. His inability to retrieve the buoys really put them at a disadvantage in the immunity challenge. I had wondered if he was going to find an idol at the last minute.
Remember, Yanu sent a tall, young player home the first week who may well have helped them win challenges (especially the puzzle arc one). He had some issues with his social game, but IMHO, may have been redeemable.
I am guessing a tribe swap next week (my DVR cut off on the scenes from next week).
Yes, count me as NOT a Bhanu fan. The constant whining and crying. I canāt even imagine if he made it to Day 15-20+. And he had zero chance of finding an idol. He was climbing hills and digging in the middle of nowhere.
I was commenting to my family last night that Tim has been nearly unheard from this season so far. Not liking the season as of now, but Iām hoping it improves.
Soda may win this thing, unless she makes enemies by being too nice and happy.
What do you think of Jem burying the Beware in a different place and making them dig and get stung by ants? I would definitely be mad about that if I were one of her tribe mates. Does she now have the advantage? I feel like I missed that last week.
I would have just kept my advantage secret and not tried to pin the found idol and the subsequent digging on someone else.
That just seems mean and unnecessary, but she found some humor in doing that. Not a big fan, but then Survivor does like a villain.
My spouse said again last night that should go on Survivor, but I told her seeing the open sores on the competitors bothers me.
D21 thinks Iād be the 1st one voted off, because everyone would tick me off. And Iād probably start a fight.
Jem burying the fake beware clue was an odd move. First, she doesnāt actually have the real idol yet, they need to lose and then she can go back and unbury it. Second, it will be a long time to keep it secret that she pulled the prank. It may sound great to shift the blame, but sometimes it is hard to keep the lies up.
I mean, itās Survivor I think itās yucky but fair play.
Also not sad to see Bhanu go. I mean bud you made it 9 days - you have to be gratefuly you got that much time!
Without getting into it, I was bothered by his focus on āsomeone aboveā answering his needs. And being mad when they werenāt answered. Thatās just me.
Hunter has physical skills man! I like him a lot but no way they keep him going down the road because he is going to be hard to beat in skill challenges.
Bhanu clueless till the end, thinking his āoneā mistake was being honest for 5 minutes. How could the producers think he made for good television unless nothing going on at other tribes.
I kind of like Hunterās chances. Heāll be safe for several episodes as long as there are team challenges (assuming the teams arenāt switched for each challenge). He is not playing an aggressive social game yet, which often is why a target is put on your back, see Soda vs Tevin.
Watching Bhanu was EXHAUSTING. A self-proclaimed superfan who has no idea how Survivor works.
