I realize it was over two seasons. Still, it is a ton of weight to lose in a short time.
I also don’t remember him looking like he weighed 174. He’s 6 ft tall which I didn’t realize either.
At least Jeff was able to laugh at himself RE: his gaffe. Cirie, who notices EVERYTHING, wasn’t going to let that slip by!
Maybe instead of schmoozing while the episode airs, Jeff should pay attention?
While the host (Jeff, in this case) might make a mistake like this during a live show, I’m surprised no one from the production team caught it. Aren’t they supposed to provide oversight so screw-ups like this don’t happen?

I was thinking the same thing. I wondered why didn’t production hold Rizo from coming out. Then again, Jeff asked for Rizo by name so it would have spoiled it anyway.
I wonder if the show will do another live finale. There is more control when it is taped in Fiji.
It’s so much better with a big live audience! But better yet if it’s closer to the actual final vote.

My guess is the live finale - at least for the Spring seasons - was a one-off.
The production schedule doesn’t allow for less time between filming of FTC and a live reading of the votes. For cost savings, seasons are filmed back-to-back in a window between 4/15 and 7/3. Again for cost savings plus planning, Jeff and crew generally remain in Fiji between the two filming seasons. 51 just wrapped (which allowed for teasers / trailers during the 50 finale) and 52 will begin filming shortly. So they flew Jeff back to LA specifically for this.

100% production should have been able to intercept- but I also heard Jeff wasn’t wearing an ear piece?
At least 90% they should have been able to intercept.
