Anybody else loving The Crown?

I’m 3 episodes in and really enjoying it. The actors are doing a great job and I love the music!

It popped up and I added it to my list. Wasn’t sure if it was good or not, but I’ll start it now!

Yes! I’ve spent a lot of time looking up more details on the various characters and events. Love the costumes and settings.

Me, too. After a show I google to see what actually happened. They are doing a great job of finding actors who look like the royal family…except the Queen Mother and King George.

Yes

I am going to let you in on my secret pleasure…GoFugYourself.com . The Fug girls comment for the most part on celebrity clothing and style but they also write commentary on random movies and television programs. If you followed Television Without Pity back in the day, the two authors of the website came together there. The Fug girls are funny, smart, and do not allow body shaming or outright meanness on their site. There are times when the comments are as informative as the main postings.

They are following The Crown. Tomorrow is going to be a stressful day. Have some fun. http://www.gofugyourself.com/fug-the-show-the-crown-recap-season-1-episode-1-wolferton-splash-11-2016

There is a documentary on Amazon Prime about Prince Philip and how much he was disliked by everyone, about how Mountbatten schemed and plotted to get the 18 year old Prince into the lives of the royals (worked!). It goes into the background and how his sisters married Germans.

I loved John Lithgow as Churchill. “You know why his sisters aren’t here? They are all marred to Nat-zies. Nat-zies!”

I am starting it tonight. Getting bored with HGTV and I need to immerse myself in something for the next 24 hours.

3 episodes in as well. I’m hooked!

I’m four episodes in. It’s quite good.

I was going to binge watch at some point. I am glad to hear it is good. I have a thing for Matt Smith

Glad to hear good reports here. I’m afraid once I start, I won’t be able to stop; so, I’m saving it to the end of the semester.

I can’t wait to carve out time to watch The Crown. I’m a sucker for historical royal shows and movies.

I watched all 10 over the last three days. It’s apparent from the ending of the 10th episode that they plan more seasons. Can’t say I like Matt Smith. He has a creepy look about him in every scene.

I loved it! I confess that I have already binge watched all 10 episodes. I am also one of those people who kept googling people and events to get more information. I heard that it has already been renewed for a second season and has the potential to go for six seasons. Hope it does!

Good! I was hoping it wasn’t one of those small limited series and this was it.

We just finished watching all ten episodes over the course of a couple of weeks. Loved it, many very opulent and interesting scenes, made me look more into the historical details, acting superb with some very emotional, nuanced performances.

Thanks, CC, for turning me on to this series. It’s fantastic.

I stumbled on The Crown a day or two after it was released. I finished it in 3 days. I think it’s the best series I’ve seen for many years.

I binged watched several episodes the day after the election when I needed something to escape to. It served the bill very nicely. I’m looking forward to the next set of episodes.
