Anyone watch Parenthood, the tv show?

mimk6: But Adam had no idea she was about to deliver. And the reception was spotty but Adam is not really a techy guy and so buisness-like he probably turns his phone off in a meeting and doesn’t check it.

I liked the episode, but thought Adam looked SO RIDICULOUS in that outfit. I thought it showed Crosby in a good light. He does have a good heart.

So I am thinking this Amber/Max thing will give Amber an idea of what her passions might be? She was very good with him. And I think the school just let her sit with him at lunch in the classroom so he wouldn’t have to be alone.

The coffee girl/baby-mama is very good. Has she been in anything before?

I agree about Amber finding her passion. I think it actually fits with her personality very well.

I looked up the coffee girl after the first episode. I didn’t recognize any of her previous credits, but you might: [Rosa Salazar - IMDb](Rosa Salazar - IMDb)

Max the actor will be 14 next month, according to imdb.

I think Amber may end up being Max’s aide for a while, replacing Minka Kelly. She WAS good at it. Maybe the reason Amber was allowed to be in the room was that school rules do not permit a student, especially a student with issues, to be left alone in the classroom. If Amber hadn’t been there, an aid or teacher probably would have had to be there with Max. The school probably didn’t care if the family provided the caretaker since that means it won’t have the expense of paying someone to do it.

I wonder what’s going to happen with the contract Adam threw at Ray on the way out?Ray may react badly to that and refuse to record at the Lunchonette.

And, yes, the baby mama does a good job.

Well, he should have known because that was one huge-looking full-term baby:)

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that baby walked off the set.

Wasn’t it creepy the way that baby looked right at the camera? That thing was several months old to have that kind of focus!

I figured he/she was close to 6 months old!

^^Agree! My H and I said the same thing…creepy baby stare at the end…and kind of off with the post-birth ‘make-up’

Is there a shortage of preemies in Hollywood? I always love to “measure” the babies, and that was the biggest I have seen on a movie or tv in a while. WOW!

Not a huge fan of this week’s episode. Felt a little too disjointed with all of the different storylines. I also don’t like Cee Lo so that might explain it.

Small moments I did love:

-Drew and Amber’s relationship - it is a great brother/sister thing
-Drew’s first kiss was sweet and I like the girl so that is promising
-Joel’s speech about where their money goes was wonderful. I think it is wonderful that they are helping Sarah get her ex-husband into rehab. It is embarrassing to ask for money and to be questioned why you give money is even more odd.
-The beginning and end surrounding Sarah’s troubles was wonderful

Did the baby get smaller though?

mdem, yes, I thought this was an episode of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”! lol

I also liked that Joel finally got something meaty to do.

The Drew kiss was awesome! I watch with my 16yo son each week, and I’m hoping he got some pointers from Amber. ;)

Loved the scene when Drew came to Amber for kissing tips…he is just so sweet and shy. Glad to see him finally get up the nerve!

I didn’t quite get the emotional appeal Sarah made to her sister for money for Seth’s rehab. I mean I get that she wants him to get well for the sake of her kids, but the way she went on made me feel like she was overly invested and still in love with him…maybe she is?

I liked Joel standing up to the Dad, Dad is a bit overbearing. On the other hand, I can see his point regarding the guy who he sees as a total loser who has brought nothing, but pain, to his DD & GKS lives. Hard to believe this time will be the real change, hard for anyone dealing with addiction.

The baby on last week’s episode was huge! Dang. I think Sarah is pretty naive about the ex-husband… and yikes that Julia and Joel are funding Seth’s trip to rehab. I have a bad feeling about that. I read an article about an actor coming on to play the coffee girl’s baby daddy for a few episodes, so that might be bad too. I would be drawing up some sort of contract with her for sure! Drew’s girlfriend is adorable.

Oh there is definitely going to be some drama in the adoption scenario. I wish they wouldn’t go down that old cliche road, but the temptation seems hard to resist.

Am I the only one wondering why no one was helping Christina? Couldn’t Camille or someone come over and given that poor girl a break?

^^^I thought the same thing. Don’t her in-laws live right next door? Does Sarah have a job or do her parents support her and her kids? And are we to believe that Amber’s coffee shop job pays for all her expenses to live on her own? Wish my soon to be college grad. could get a job at that coffee shop!

PackMom, it reminds me of Friends, where underemployed people live in awesome apartments in the city.

I don’t think the in-laws live next door but certainly in the same town, and, yeah, they could help.

Sarah spends a lot of time on her laptop. I’m guessing she’s still writing, but how is she getting paid?

BTW, I also loved the scene where Haddie cuddles with her mom. Of course a mom would love that scene!

I totally agree with the high points shared by others. Joel’s ‘speech’ to Zeke was really good. I also love the relationship between Amber and Drew! I love Sara’s new relationship so I’m hoping the complication with Seth is nothing more. I’m also not a fan of Cee Lo so that kind of ruined that storyline for me…they couldn’t get anyone else? ;)

What does everyone have against Cee Lo? I thought he was a great choice.
