It was not the teacher…it was Ed…the guy she kissed originally…the father who was her partner in the green planting project that they did at school.

It was the teacher.

And they mentioned Haddie!

And, the cost of Cornell was why Adam couldn’t loan Crosby $.

I liked Ray Romano tonight. Julia moved fast on that teacher! Only 2 episodes left?

Dh said Romano should get an Emmy nod. He’s doing a great job.

OK, so will she tell Joel about being hot for/with teacher???

Wow! So glad they finally acknowledged that Haddie exists! Glad Drew went back to school. Fun to see him bond with his roommate. Still think that girl is creepy. Is there no contact with Amy? Good to see Julia woking on something she is good at and passionate about. I think the rush of adrenalin and self-confidence I predict, in true soap opera fashion, she will not tell Joel, end up being pregnant (even though that is supposed to be highly unlikely) and won’t know who the father is. Ray Romano was great. I was not as annoyed as usual with Sarah. I thought it was touching that Zeke found a cute house for Camille.

I gather Sarah Ramos (Haddie) has been contracted to appear in the last episode this season. She lives!

Which may be the last episode ever. The show has not been renewed yet. I thought it was a little chilling when the promotion said “Only 2 episodes left!” not “Only 2 episodes left this season!”

Yes, this has turned into the Ray Romano Showcase. He gets a couple of astonishing scenes every week.

Did anyone else love the clearing the air scene between Berto and Drew? I love the way the show ultimately finds the positive qualities even in negative, caricatured characters.

Yes, I thought that scene was hilarious–especially how Berto explains that both his parents are shrinks. I wonder if they have thier patients get buzzed so they can share what’s really on their minds. It was interesting that Drew admitted that one of the things that bugged him was that Berto studies a lot less than he does and gets better grades.

I also thought it was good that after all that when they ran into Natalie Berto told Drew that Drew was the one that had messed that up.

Oh, and I agree that Romano was great. You know who else is good? It’s a small part, but I really like the way his shrink is portrayed.

It was nice to see Lorelei acting like a Mom to Drew. It looks like they really are selling that house and moving, which surprises me. Did anyone catch the commercial that referenced the show? I don’t usually watch commercials as I DVR everything, but I caught that one.

No, but I caught the Cuisinart commercial at the beginning of the show! ;-)

I don’t even remember the product, but it’s a couple watching TV and the wife turns to the husband and says, “I can’t believe they are selling the house after all those years. Are you crying?” And so forth.

Soooo happy Haddie is coming back. Loved Drew and Berto. Still think Natalie is psycho.

Has anyone considered the possibility that Camille and Zeke and Jasmine and Crosby will just flop houses? Or that the homestead would be awesome for the new school?

Definitely I think the homestead could be the new school, maybe with Jasmine and Crosby living on the compound too.

Er, Camille and Zeke already accepted and signed the offer from the highly motivated outside buyer. Unless the sale falls through – or the buyer is a secret angel planning to donate the house for the school – that’s not going to happen.

Don’t they have three days to back out? That’s what I remember when we bought our house … maybe not.

I’m confused about the house. I get that Camille and Zeke’s property is very valuable, but the place they moved into, a good sized house in the city with an amazing view would also be very valuable, and in my area of the country where city property is prime real estate, more, or at least very similarly priced. I thought the idea was to downsize and have more money to do things such as travel?

When I saw the new house, I thought it looked like it would be just as much trouble to maintain as the old one, plus, yes, it is huge!

The old house had a huge lot – looked like at least an acre – in the Berkeley Hills, which I think is a desirable, high-prestige area. So it could easily be worth more than even an adorable Victorian with a view of Coit Tower. On the other hand, I think we have to regard the notion of Camille and Zeke “downsizing” to that multi-million-dollar house as part of the fantasy aspect of a TV show. (As was the notion that Camille was going to hop in the truck, close her eyes, and presto they would be there in front of the potential new house. My Bay Area driving sense is way out of date, but I think that it would be at least a 25 minute drive from their old house to the new one, and that’s without traffic, a pretty rare condition.)

Youdon’tsay: Natalie is not psycho. She’s more than a little confused, but compared to Drew she’s practically Aristotle. Neither Drew liking her, nor she liking him back, obligates her to conform her behavior to what he considers ideal. And the fact that he secretly liked her while overtly dumping her completely for someone who offered exactly what he wants – sexual fidelity and emotional commitment – in an obviously dysfunctional dynamic doesn’t make him look so great. As far as I am concerned, both of them have been unreasonable, and both have placed too many advance conditions on pursuing a relationship that they are really both already in. They need to go with the flow a little bit, and listen to one another.

I don’t like Natalie’s games, and, yes, I think the bulk of this not working out is on her. He wanted a more serious relationship; she didn’t. OK. But once Amy enters the picture, Natalie begins acting territorial about Drew and acting put out that he wasn’t instantly available to her. And of all the people she can pick to sleep with, she picks his roommate. Not cool. Ready for Drew to get it back together, with Natalie or (preferably) without …

I agree with JHS, Drew is really the dysfunctional one. I see nothing wrong with Natalie not wanting a serious relationship and she is completely correct to point out to Drew he was messing up his college life.
