I don’t see anything on my portal and didn’t get an email so I’m assuming I didn’t get in. With no merit money, no honors, this officially takes App off my list as an OOS student. I’ve got better offers at other schools and need to start taking some off the list anyway!

Just a follow up – I don’t know their process so it’s possible they go out in waves (or not).

My son is a senior at App in the HC and I truly don’t recall if there were waves or not … my daughter applied to HC this year and like a few others has no email or update in the portal as of this morning so… who knows. We are in state so App is still in play with or without HC but of course it would be a plus factor.
Congrats to those accepted - it’s been a really great experience for my son, excellent teaching, mentorship, advising etc…

I guess those who weren’t notified yesterday were denied. Here’s the official denial I received: Thank you for your interest in joining the Honors College at Appalachian State University. I’m sorry to tell you that we cannot offer you admission to the Honors College for fall 2024. Our applicant pool was particularly rich and large this year, and we must therefore send regrets to many impressively qualified students.
However, I am also writing with hopeful news. If you choose Appalachian (and there are many good reasons to do so) you may apply to join the Honors College community as a second-semester student. It is also possible at Appalachian to join an Honors program in most majors: an astonishing 36 departments or colleges across campus offer ways to gain an Honors education in your major. // Best of luck to all that got in!
Got the same email! I got into Honors at TCU and U of Tampa so far and I’m happy with those two options!
