My animosity toward Jerry Jones began the day/the way he dismissed Landry. I have no animus toward Mack Brown, but I do think it’s time for him to go.

I just spent 20 minutes looking at old stories about the firing. Honest to God, it hurts like it was yesterday. I truly despise Jerry Jones.

That is such a lengthy grudge. Around the time I was born. ;)

I prefer to look at the Super Bowl wins. And, of course, at the magnificent Vince against Cheatin’ Pete and his professional players at USC.

And that’s why you don’t understand it. Tom Landry had been coach since before I was born, and to see him treated that way was more than I could bear. It was like watching my father being canned by Mr. Potter.

I haven’t like Mack Brown since he voted an undefeated Michigan #4 in 1998 as a favor to Coach Tom Osborne to help Nebraska get to #1.

I’m curious where you went to school. You seem to have an incredibly rosy view of these elite schools, even moreso than people who went to these schools and thoroughly enjoyed their experience.

Not sure why you refer to “these elite schools” as all I did was discuss one school I know intimately well in terms of admissions, including athletic recruiting.

Does that answer your question?

At this point, I believe we Packers fans have only the continuing growth and manscaping of Aaron Rodgers’ moustache to look forward to for the rest of the season.

Sigh.

I’m not a huge fan of the Cowboys, but I think Jerry Jones is fantastic for the NFL. He is great at promoting his team and football in general. He got built one of the nicest stadiums in football. I wish more owners had the personality of Jerry Jones.

Who’s your team, razor? Maybe we can trade.

Agree, eastcoastcrazy. Sigh. It has been a bad week for this Packers/Ducks fan. I vote for Aaron to do a full-on 70s Porn Star 'stache.

My team is the 49ers but I can’t stand the coach. I also like the Seahawks, Patriots, Broncos, and Skins.

The teams I can’t stand are Pitt, New Orleans, and Baltimore.

The rest I like some days and don’t like others.

What happened to the Colts today? Holy cow.

Exciting end to the Ravens/Bengals game, although I think Marvin Lewis outsmarted himself going for it on 4th down in overtime instead of trying the field goal.

Gah… even with Ray-Ray gone, I still hate the Ravens.

Ick… I HATE his mustache! Can’t imagine what got in his head to do that.

I don’t think Saban is going to Texas as a football coach. He has repeatedly said he is too old to start over. I suspect that eventually we will see him as a talking head of some kind on the SEC network, perhaps.

Look what happened at Bama when Saban complained that the students were leaving games early? The administration changed the rules about student ticket draws and didn’t let the frats/sororities get blocks of tickets together.

I think Nick will get a nice raise out of this interest from Texas plus I think he will probably win another NC – which just kind of stinks.

Did any of you see the 60 minutes pieces on him? Worth watching –

[Nick Saban on mediocrity - 60 Minutes - CBS News](http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50158419n)

Nick Saban won’t leave Alabama for Texas.

If the Jets or some NFL club came to him, I could understand a challenge like that. But this is not even a challenge. I mean, Texas is not as good a job as Alabama.- Paul Finebaum

Nick Saban would also have to deal with interference by the Univ. of Texas administration with roster management. This has resulted in Texas singing 110 players in the last five years while Alabama has signed 128.

One bowl matchup that I would like to see is Vanderbilt vs. Stanford. On paper both teams match up well both athletically and academically.

So let me understand this. The Colts can beat the Broncos but the Rams beat the daylights out of the Colts? Crazy!

I think the national championship in college football will be Alabama vs. Florida State with State winning. Alabama’s QB won’t get the Heisman. His line might deserve the Heisman, but not him. He has not been sacked this year the last time I checked.

They no longer have Reggie Wayne, the Colts best receiver.

Defense/special teams killed the Colts today. St. Louis scored twice as many points as they have been averaging so far.

Luck chucking up interceptions didn’t help either.
