<p>I’m watching the Duke vs. Texas A&M bowl game. A&M has Johnny Football but can’t get him on the field because the Duke’s offensive line is destroying the A&M defensive line and Duke has been scoring like crazy. Since when did Duke get a good football team? I can remember when if they won a game it was by accident.</p>
<p>I watched the Duke game. Very sad for Duke that they couldn’t pull it off and definitely did not want to see the Aggies win. Johnny Football looks like he’s going to explode. I hope he has a therapist on call.</p>
<p>I’m watching on TV now the start of the NHL Winter Classic hockey game being played outside in snow between Toronto and Detroit. Pretty wild scene! I hope the 105,000+ fans were issued pints of ‘antifreeze’ at the gates going into the stadium…looks really cold and nasty there.</p>
<p>Two of my daughters and their husbands are there, lizard. They’re dressed for the weather and I’m sure they’re warm enough. :)</p>
<p>I found myself in the unusual position of rooting for … Duke! Part of it is that I always root for the team that plays the CarpetBaggies, and especially since they bolted to the Hillbilly Conference. </p>
<p>This said, I also rooted for Duke because it is remarkable for a program such as Duke to field a competitive team. We all know how successful Stanford has been in the last years, but it is much harder to field a team when graduation and grades are important. </p>
<p>So … many congrats to the Blue Devils for a great season! </p>
<p>PS Of course, it also appears that Texas AM could not stop a decent Texas high school with that cheese defense!</p>

<p>Hoping for a great game in the Rose Bowl. If it turns out to be half what the USC vs Texas of the Vince Young era, we should be in for a treat. But that game might have been one of the greatest games ever!</p>
<p>Michigan State has the opportunity to show the Big 10 is not as mediocre as it has appeared all year. After that joke of a defensive game between Duke and Texas A$M, the difference should be startling. </p>
<p>Let the best team win and the refs be clear sighted for a difference.</p>
<p>So much for wishing for a great game and decent refs. Neither is happening in Pasadena.</p>
<p>Just ugh. This game. </p>
<p>Hoping for a better 2nd half.</p>

<p>Glad to see Johnny Football go out in style for his last college game. Kid clearly has IT and that will be apparent when he gets to the next level. He will own Cleveland if the Browns happen to draft him.</p>
