Are you ready for some football?

They are all really compelling this time

Ha! So true. The last few years they have ben too pathetic to be annoying. I guess you have to take comfort where you can find it. <<<

Well, we can always borrow a few pages of the playbook of the franchises that have spent the overwhelming majority of their athletic existence in utter mediocrity and irrelevance! For some reason, I believe two of those are easy to identify! Heck, were one of them win its next two games, it might mean returning to a Super Bowl with a NON losing record overall. Winning the SB would mean -finally- to cherish a positive record.

Enjoy the ride while it last. Count on us to provide comfort in leaner years. WE have learned a lot in the past twenty years.

The good thing about spending a lot of time as a super fan of a team that has been irrelevant to everyone but those of us in the far corner of the nation is that we, unlike some super fans, have developed a sense of humor. :)>-

Exactly. Remember, not only have I been a lifelong Cowboys fan, but I also am a lifelong Texas Rangers fan. Talk about years of irrelevance …

Humor is in the eye of the beholder. It works perhaps better without having to signal it with a smiley!

YDS, your list might get longer with Strong. Where is that tongue out smiley I need to insert now? It wasn’t that long we were on Cloud Nine in Dallas and Austin. Last year was painful.

Wow! Go Ravens! I didn’t know who I would root for going in. I figured I’d just see who I ended up rooting for naturally and it fell Ravens. This is really something.

I’ve hated the Cowboys as long as I’ve watched football. I find the whole “America’s Team” thing nauseating.

You know why they built the Jerry dome so big-- they need to make it big enough for Jerry’s ego.

My house is split for the Patriots/Ravens game

This is the first, and probably last, time I’ll root for Green Bay.
I used to be a big Ravens fan (I love what the players do for homeless animals in Baltimore- look up the “Show Us Your Soft Side” Campaign if you don’t know what I’m talking about) but I’m ambivalent about this game.

Actually, everyone should just look at the images/story here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/02/show-your-soft-side_n_5418075.html

It’s seriously one of my favorite campaigns for animals.

Sorry, bit OT… but it’s for the furbabies!

Ack! The Patriots are putting on the gas now - which is also OK since it would mean that Denver would have to go there is they get by Indy

What a great call. Thought I could never be surprised again by the Pats, but there you go.

I love a trick play.

There’s always room for newbies on the Packers bandwagon! It’s really not painful at all!

Are you familiar with the team players riding kid’s bikes to practice for them during training camp? It’s how they hook 'em in when they’re young!

I love a trick play now and then as long as the announcers don’t call it “trickeration”

I have my green and gold all set out to change into later

I still can’t decide helmet or cheesehead though. I may change at half time.

Helmet, with plenty of cheese snacks. GO PACK!!!

So cute @teriwtt!!!

I have a cousin who lives in the DFW area, but is also a Packers fan. Last year when they played each other, she wore her Cowboys jersey with her Packers earrings. Now that’s one conflicted fan!

If I’m picking a new FB team, it’ll probably be one that is near where I move in the future.
Which means it’ll be somewhere warm.

I really, REALLY hope it means it’ll be somewhere warm…
