There are exploratory tracks. You do not have to chose a major until 45 credits, however you must choose a school to apply for.

You will not be spoon fed when it comes to pre-med. Keep close contact with your advisor (You will need that relationship for opportunities and reco letters). Also, just complete your pre-reqs, and take upper level bio classes that will be beneficial. Build relationships with Science professors as well (You will also need them for reco letters and research opportunities).

Hi, I was wondering how the process of choosing a roommate works at ASU, and also if having an alumni as a relative and knowing a state representative for letter of recommendation purposes would increase my chances of getting into Barrett. I’m eligible for an $8000 merit scholarship and with the possibility of a legacy scholarship, I’ll be find money-wise (I think). Now my dilemma is that I’m out of state, butif I live with my aunt and uncle for a year, I’d be eligible for in-state tuition. What do you reccomend I do about housing for my first year?

ok so here’s my situation… I’m a college graduate from another country with a bachelor of science degree. Now I’m applying at ASU wanting to have a recognized degree here. I already had my foreign credentials evaluated with ECE knowing that ASU accepts it. NOw admissions is telling me that I need to send them my transcript from the college I attended and my transcript from high school. But I do not have my high school transcript with me. Would that be a problem? Can I just submit the evaluated transcript and still get accepted? And also regarding residency… Their system classified me as non resident and now I’m trying to file petition. I have a permanent resident card. My sister who is a resident here in Arizona claims me in her taxes. I have a driver’s license and ia operating a registered vehicle here in Arizona. Do I have a good chance of being reclassified as a resident? My only address of residence from when I got here in the US was in Arizona til now. Thanks in advance! This application thing is stressing me out!

i have struggled during highschool. i hear its not too hard to get into ASU, and ive always wanted to go there. i have a terrible GPA of a 2.0. and an ACT score of a 24. I am extremely involved in the community, i volunteer, and i am currently in the running to be miss illinois teen usa. is there ANY way i could get into ASU?

Which is a better school and college town to spend four years of your life at? U of A in tuscon or ASU in tempe?

smodrich, Roommates are assigned according to field. Engineers room together, buisness majors room together and so on. Theres seperate dorms for each and you can choose to room with some one you know you just put it on the housing form

j1000j, there are specific requirements for acceptance, if you fulfill them your in

JamesLeBron, academically I think they’re pretty equal, they each have higher rankings in different programs but by far, tempe is a better place to spend four years. UofA’s campus is nice but go a little off and it gets kinda ghetto. ASU has mill ave right next to them and the surrounding area has so much to do! I reccomend applying to both and seeing which one fits you better. (I’m gonna be attending asu this fall so keep that in mind)

Do you think it’s worth going here if I’m out of state(I’m currently in California). I’m going to be applying for Electrical Engineering, and I’ve read that ASU has a pretty good Engineering program. Is it worth 25-30k per year?

lakersince95, Don’t let the price tag scare you, I’m from California and am going for EE this fall. They gave me a pretty hefty scholarship making it cheaper than a UC while being ranked as high as UCI. Also, Cali is running out of money so the minimum you can graduate from a cal state is 5 years due to the 13 unit cap so keep in mind that you’d essentially be paying for 5 years at a cal state. Ohh and housing cost are most likely cheaper in AZ

Does anyone know if it is still possible to apply and gain admissions for Fall 2012 in August ? Also how generous are ASU when transferring credits from a Pre-Business from a Junior college in California ?

Thank you

Not worth the money

Hey any idea if i could get financial aid in ASU?Im an international student.

ACT:35
gpa:3,4 THANKSSSS!! :)

Hello. How do you apply for a scholarship at ASU

SBCC90, the application is still up and there is some more info here: https://students.asu.edu/freshman/requirements

martincw2: I’m not sure of the process for international students, but generally that would earn you a merit scholarship to ASU.

MOM1006: there’s tons of information on the ASU website about scholarships right here: https://students.asu.edu/costs-finances

What about Political Science as a major

Why is the application for ASU so short… They don’t ask about grades

Hey I’m applying to transfer to ASU from a California CC. I have a 2.5 which is pretty low but I was involved in student government and was Vice President and have two more semesters before Fall '13 (when I hope to attend ASU). Do you think I have a shot at getting in? Everyone says I do but can anyone at ASU give me real feedback? Anyone get in with a GPA close to my own?

Is it even worth coming here if I have to go to the downtown phoenix campus? I heard its horrible and there is nothing to do.
