Ask Mike

hmmm good point. touche my good man. i’m going to eventually try to find a way to trump you. it’s my new mission in life (for the next 30 seconds). prend garde a toi.

mike, was just wondering, is there a subject called ‘mysticism’ that one can study in college (well, I know there’s definitely philosophy, but how about the ‘real’ mysticism that used to persist in the 1900s?)

can jesus create a hammer so heavy that he himself could not lift it?

there is a corridor that leads into an empty room. the room is completely empty except for a lamp in one of the corners. on the other side of the corridor are 3 switches. you know that one of them turns on the lamp, the other 2 dont do anything. you can play around with the switches turning each of them on and off as much as you like, then you can go into the room 1 (one!!) time to check whether the lamp is on or off (there is a door so you cant know without entering the room). leaving the room, you have to know which of the 3 switches works and which 2 dont.

Suppose you’re on a game show, and you’re given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is the Grand Prize; behind the others, Booby Prizes. You pick a door, say Door A, and the host, who knows what is behind each door, opens another door, say Door B, revealing a Booby Prize. The host then offers you the opportunity to change your selection to Door C. Should you stick with your original choice or switch? Does it make any difference? WHY

asif - Not sure what “real” misiticsm is, but yeah you can study it.

crouton - Jesus wasnt a strong dude.

DUH! You always switch, its simple game theory. You have a 33% chance before of getting it, and a 50% chance now of getting it when you switch.

mike, having some good problem,
as I’ve told several several and several times in CC that I’m a good procrastinator, things turning out even worse! I’ve really Procrastinated last week and I really want to quit it, u have any suggestions? I guess u know it how tough it is to leave off procrastination all of a sudden, even after getting bad grades, I’m NOT stopping procrastinating!
(well, one who procrastinates aren’t supposed to do bad, so I guess my procrastination is taking a worse curve—laziness :()

Set atrificial deadlines and reward yourself with actual rewards.

tried that too! trying to find some ‘queer’ methods. (currently trying to punish myself when can’t meet the deadline! ha ha! lol!) :D

self-flagellation always works as a form of punishment!
joke.
don’t do that.

Mike, why do I no longer enjoy playing video games?

(well, literally I ain’t doin’ that, it’s just I tried it once or twice and at that very time realized that it’s not fruitous)

Mike, is actor Adam Lieberman into guys by any chance? Should I have hopes about him?

Say Mike, when will this thread end?

Mike do you watch the Office? If so, my respect for you will escalate exponentially, if not, it will lower, so choose wisely.

Mike, don’t u have ANY questions?! I hardly saw u asking anything!! (well, I’m here for a short time though)

he’s the one who answers the questions, technically that is what makes this thread about advice.

Venkat - you have realized that there are better more productive things to do with your time. Or you are like me, and neglected to purchase the newest system, and as a result no more new games are made, so yours get stale. Or they just don’t work.

Nino - stick to realistic goals, but anyone can dream.

soulstealer - probably shortly after I quit collegeconfidential.

Colege - I have watched a few episode, but I tend to only watch Jeopardy! regurally in terms of TV shows.

asif - I have questions. But I choose not to litter my own thread with my own worries and uncertainties.

well, I was saying like I’ve heardly seen u asking questions anywhere else either…(alrite, never mind)

mike,

i don’t understand why the combination of sweet and salty in kettle corn popcorn is so appealing to me and the world at large. why?

Dear mikey ikey fo fickey fe fi fo fickey,

What color shirt should I wear tomorrow?

Mike, have you met bluedevilmike? Do you think the Mikes on CC should have a powwow? I do.
