I was just accepted as an Environmental Economics & Policy major! While applying, I debated between that and Environmental Engineering, and eventually went with the former-- but now I’m worried about my career prospects in the future. Are there any current or former Cal students with this major that I can talk to? Is it possible to take math and science heavy courses within my major? If I change my mind, is it possible to transfer?
Hi! Is anyone having problems submitting their Statement of Legal Residence through calcentral? When I click to submit, a page pops up saying that I don’t have access to the page.

Next year I’ll be attending Cal as a freshman Mechanical Engineer. Is it possible to take the full load that is allowed as a freshman, and still get 8 hours of sleep per night? In High School right now I study very hard so I am used to working hard and this will not be a problem, I just want to gage the hours at Cal. In HS, I do about 7 hours of homework every night after school and after sports, so I only get about 5 hours of sleep a night and am looking for a change for the better. It doesn’t take me 7 hours a night because I am a slow worker, I am an extremely efficient worker, I just overloaded my schedule with more classes than there are periods in the day (ie. online classes).
@kasablanca and @GingerTea12 - Are you still having issues with submitting the Statement of Legal Residence?
@BerkeleyUX I just tried to submit the SIR and it worked! But I still can’t sync my email with bConnected.
@BerkeleyUX Nope, I was finally able to do that and sync the bConnected thing:) @kasablanca I went to some sort of bConnected website (try googling it) and set up my account from there… At least, I think that’s what I did :-/ It was super late at night and I just started trying random things and I can’t remember exactly what I did, just that it worked and it wasn’t by using the button thing on CalCentral :"> Sorry I can’t give you more specific help! If you’re still having troubles, message me and I’ll try to go through my browsing history and figure out exactly what I did 
Also, does anyone know when CalSo registration opens and how to go about registering when it does? I couldn’t find much on the website…

I’ve submitted SIR, paid my fee, and it’s been over 24 hours since I synced my bConnected account, but I have absolutely no idea how to actually sign up for CalSO.
Does registration open on a certain day or should I be getting a notification in CalCentral about sign-ups?
Also, I submitted my Parent Form a couple of days ago, but it is still listed as an unfinished task on my CalCentral page… Does it just take time to get processed or should I re-submit it / email and check that they got the information?
I would like to know about CalSo registration too… Does anyone know how or when we will be able to register? If it makes you feel any better @MasterLillyclaw , I had all of those things done by Tuesday last week and I still haven’t got any notifications or directions about CalSo, so I’m guessing (and hoping) that all of us are in the same boat…
Oh, and the parent form took a while to disappear for me, but it did disappear, so if I were you I would try resubmitting it… I mean, even if it did go through, what’s the harm in submitting it twice? Better be safe than sorry 
@MasterLillyclaw - About your question about the Parent Form, it takes a bit of time to process on the back side (confirmation, mostly), which is why it was listed as an unfinished task.

Hey guys i applied to UC Berkeley and i just recently realized that i did not do the Transfer Application Update on the UC Berkeley website but i did it on the UC application website, i realize that the email said to do both but i must have forgotten to do it. I missed the deadline but does that mean i am instantly disqualified or what will happen to me application or admission?
If I applied as a Psychology major but want to switch to Economics (both under L&S), do I need notify anyone or can I just start taking the required courses and declare my major by my 5th semester. I heard that undergrads in L&S are considered undeclared until they declare their major, so would there be any problem in just pursuing a major different from the one I applied for?
If I got in as a Chemical Engineering major but may want to swap to Industrial Engineering or Economics, how difficult would it be? I heard Chemical Engineers start major classes already and it may be difficult to swap… Also, do Chemical Engineers have a lot of breadth/non-major requirements?
