Auburn Early Action Class of 2030 Official Thread

Always a chance. Will prolly be Friday. Keep an eye on ur email 3:00ct-6:00ct every day

I’m not sure if my daughter received an email, but there is an application on her portal. Is that there for everyone? She is on the bubble as well.

Not locked!

Me too. And I am on the bubble as well. Didn’t receive a email asking me to apply, but I have a link to in my portal.

Everything is such a mystery……

It really is. I wish I were one of those who could just sit back and say ā€œwhat will be will beā€ but knowing this is her #1 makes it so difficult. Seeing her so stressed is really hard. And I’m imagining a deferral which causes me anxiety of how devastated she will be and how long of a wait that would mean between now and middle of March when deferral decisions finally come out. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I’m curious what all of you consider to be the deferral/acceptance ā€œbubble?ā€ My daughter is OOS (NC), 31 ACT, 4.5 weighted/3.96 unweighted GPA, Top 5% of her class. Sports, activities, leadership etc. Before this week, I had clocked her in my mind as a pretty solid admit, but I’m seriously questioning myself now. Received HC invitation (but sounds like most did).

I think you’re good! Just going off last year.

Thank you! I was too! Seems like this year is a different ballgame, though. I suppose we’ll know soon enough! What will be will be, I suppose…

Keep in mind this is just one persons perception with no insider knowledge. Zero. It’s just a guess so please don’t take it as anything more than that.

I would say the bubble is Auburn calculated GPA 3.75 with ACT range 28-29 or SAT 1300-1350

I think the upper end of those scores is a better chance at acceptance and the lower a better chance of deferral. just a guess

Wait, if you get defered do you not hear back till regular decision?

Correct. You get bumped to Regular Decision.

Hmm my friend was defered ea1 and then accepted in December..:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

If deferred and able to improve test scores and can get them to Auburn before year end I would suggest calling Auburn and make them aware. Sometimes they will review better scores before moving student to regular decision.

I remember when my son applied fall of 2023 there was someone who applied for EA 1 and got deferred. They submitted updated test scores and got admitted a week later before EA 2 results even came out it was kind of crazy. So I think that’s the only way to potentially find out earlier is to retake ACT and try and improve scores

My son’s friend didn’t get in EA1 in 2024, think he said he got in EA 2 or 3, but definitely not regular decision.

Is there any chance that because he submitted on the last day that all the stuff didn’t make it in in time? Is there still anyone else without a GPA in the portal?
