GPA is a little low though. We’ll have to wait and see…
My son OOS who applied 9/15 just got his GPA today —he has sat 1450, unweighted gpa with 12 AP’s and all honors, they did not recalculate his GPA. I just called and that’s an error, sent to processing team to relook at it and recalculate. Said decisions out by next Wednesday mid week
Maybe not today then…
Auburn doesn’t release them all at the same time, typically spread apart 2-3 days
Any idea if there’s a specific order? Maybe in state kids here first? Or completely random?
Nooooooo!!!
Can you clarify regarding recalculation of your son’s GPA? My daughter applied 9/1 and her GPA has been in the portal since early last week. But, shows same as her transcript (4.5). Are you thinking that may be an error if the same?
Same thing for me.
How crazy is this process? Or, maybe we’re all crazy to be over-thinking it!
I called and they said “some time by the end of next week.”
I really think as hard as it is, we need to sit back and just let things be. They know what they are doing and I fear if everyone starts contacting them about GPAS, we will never get decisions. At the end of the day, the GPA in your portal isn’t what they look at to admit you. They look at your actual transcript anyways.
In some respect I wish colleges just mailed them the old fashion way.
Who is saying this stuff? They just tell me they can’t say when it is
I called and a woman answered, didn’t say her name.
The message they are communicating to people is so inconsistent. I swear they are just f-ing with us at this point.
It’s safe to say from reading through this thread that no one knows anything. Including the people with so-called inside knowledge. I’m lowering timing expectations for my daughter so she is just positively surprised whenever we do find out.
I just wish they update us with real dates, not mid Oct. all we’re doing is basing it off last year and the previous, and they’re past those dates
They probably can’t because the numbers keep going up every year and they know they can’t commit to a date. Esp since they apparently lost a bunch of admissions staff not too long ago.
Why they lose a bunch of staff?
There was some controversy and allegations against some employees, and then a bunch more quit not long after. I’m not sure if the current numbers, but as of a few months ago, they lost 15 of their 35 employees and had only replaced 5. If you google it you find news about it.
