Remember - deferred is not denied. Could very well mean acceptance…just a little later.
Deferred to get accepted. Keep working hard and war eagle!
Son accepted. OOS. He applied Exploratory Major but it doesn’t say anything about being accepted to that specific major in his letter. I assume he got that major? War Eagle!
Ugh, my daughter isn’t home. Is a decision emailed to the parents as well?
Student email they used for their app telling them their portal has been updated. Decision is in student’s Auburn portal
Weird. Applied Early Decision and it still says “Awaiting Decision.”
Son OOS accepted, pre-business. My understanding from reading the letter is you pay the $250 “intent to enroll” in order to get an Auburn email. That’s where the housing time slot will be sent in November.
We know a student who is a current student and was deferred multiple times and obviously was finally accepted
That’s not how I read it. I think the kids will be sent an email for housing slots in November. Nothing seemed to indicate an enrollment deposit was required. I expect a housing deposit will be required in November. ![]()
That is correct. Your student will be able to fill out the housing application and pay the $100 housing deposit in November. You do not need to pay the enrollment deposit until room selection in March. All accepted students will be given an Auburn email. Congratulations to all those accepted. War Eagle
Here is the link to Auburn housing which explains the process:

S25 Accepted OOS
Applied Pre-Engineering (computer science)
My D23 had 2 friends deferred first round and then accepted. One attends Auburn now; the other is at UGA. Sometimes these things make no sense to us, so don’t lose hope!
Accepted 32 ACT 4.37 weighted! War Eagle ![]()

Twins OOS, one admitted and one deferred. The deferred son applied for biomedical sciences. I wonder when we resubmit materials if he should switch to undecided. Anybody have insight on that? Thank you!
Any other Early Decision kids still getting “Awaiting Decision” display on their portal?
Unless you are 110% sure you are going there, do NOT submit any enrollment deposit yet. DO submit a housing deposit if you think there’s ANY chance your student will go there…it’s $100 and will be lost if your student doesn’t wind up enrolling, but Auburn has a housing deficit, so you need to get in line or else you risk scrambling in May/June/July for a place to live (and will end up in an apartment off campus).
If your student applied with test scores (hoping they did as Auburn is very clear they are “test recommended”, then AU needed to receive official test reports from ACT or SAT. If those weren’t sent, the application gets rolled over to the next early action deadline pool.
Yep, not test optional. Neither my daughter or her two friends that applied (Texas), got a decision.
Did they have all their materials to Auburn by 9/15?
OOS (Florida) accepted
4.4 GPA
31 ACT
