Accepted OOS 4.4W GPA, 32 ACT
So sorry! Same for my son regarding GPA and test scores, but thankfully he already committed elsewhere. Best of luck to you wherever you choose! Remember to love the school that loves you back.
My OOS son just got admitted after being deferred since August!! 3.9, 1270 - lots of leadership, work, APs, extracurriculars.
My daughter was rejected. Instate, marketing. 27 ACT, 3.5 GPA, honors classes. Extra curricularsâŠI donât get it
Sorry to hear about your daughter. Sheâll have opportunities. Auburn is a tough get these days.
Last year, the average GPA was 4.2 (weighted, of course) and ACT 28.7.
So statistically, she sounds maybe not there.
Also, the earlier you applyâŠnot sure when she did.
Ms State, in many ways is similar in my mind although harder to get into town⊠She may look there if she still needs a home.
Best of luck
For those deferred then accepted what major is your student?
Communication Major
does anyone know how effective the rejection appeal is? or know of anyone whose rejection appeal worked?
No idea but make sure you have new info. Good luck.
Disagreement with an admissions decision, alone, is not a valid reason for an appeal. Applicants with new and compelling information that were denied undergraduate admission to Auburn University may submit an appeal.
Itâs usually really low when I researched it. Auburn only looks at course rigor, GPA and SAT - they dont consider the other parts of an application. If you meet the criteria for an appeal (medical reason, problems with the process such as your school sent the wrong information or sent it late through no fault of your own, etc) and it had a negative impact theyâll take a look at it, but my guess is the reason would have to justify something that now puts you within their cut off zone.
My OOS d was given the choice to study at the Auburn Montgomery location for 24 credits as part of the Auburn pathway program and then transfer to Auburn. Is anyone familiar with this? She is not thrilled about this option. Itâs sad because Auburn is her number 1.
My daughter sent in an appeal in March. If anyone submitted one as well, have you heard anything back yet? It said by 4/15 but just wondering if they receive the decision as an update in their portal or if they are notified a different way.
I was told by my admission counselor that they will send an email and a letter and it will be released on 4/15, but I am kind of wondering if it will be tomorrow.
The wait is so stressful! What makes you think tomorrow?
They usually make decisions on Fridays. They dont want people calling - gives the weekend for anyone upset to cool off - again just my perspective.
I just got an email from my admissions advisor that they will be released April 15th!
Wishing you the best of luck!
Best of luck to everyone! Fingers crossed !
lets post any updates here
Havenât heard anything - wish they wouldnât say 4/15 if they werenât going to let people know by then. Unless they only reach out to those who win the appeal.
