Serena/Kirilenko starts at 3:30. I just extrapolated. Really starts at 3:45, lasts 1.5 hours, then there’s always a gap between matches, then warmup.

Novack wins his third Australian Open on the 27th. Wawrinka played the game of his career and still could not top Nole! I was sad to see Ana Ivanovic lose (she is my neighbour in Serbia).

“Grandstand is our favorite.”

I am very sad to see that go.

What they should do is tear that monstrosity of a stadium down and build a smaller one with a roof.

The ground isn’t strong enough to support a roof with its size now
They definitely need one though.

^Yes, that is why they should tear it down and start from scratch. It’s a terrible stadium for watching a match.

Ana is so good looking. Come on Ana. Get it going.

They were discussing this on TV in the Murray - Berdych match where conditions were absolutely ridiculous.

Have they torn down the grandstand yet? So disappointing. The new show court was actually pretty nice too. Can’t remember the number - was it 4? Saw your Canadian guy on the new show court (Roanic) - wasn’t too exciting that day; also saw a lot of Jack Sock there.

6 am for Fed is a good guess. Worth waking up early for on a day off.

Raonic/Blake on Grandstand was fun to watch. All of his aces basically bounced into the crowd.

I love watching streams with no commentators.

Liny, I think not until the new grandstand is built. According to this new GS should be ready by 2015.

<a href=“New Stadiums, but No Roofs, Are Planned at National Tennis Center - The New York Times”>New Stadiums, but No Roofs, Are Planned at National Tennis Center - The New York Times;

Watched Berdych-Anderson. Solid win for Berdych.

Anderson moves really well for 6’ 8".

I loveeeeeeee tennis drama. Woz fails to return serve and then the ball is called out, the other girl challenges and wins the point, and then she complains. She’s been throwing her racquet a lot today.

^ at least it was high quality and had a third set which wasn’t a breakfest!

Raonic-Fed match must have been fast (I saw it was three straight sets). Woke up around 7 am and Mike and Mike were already on ESPN2.

Looks like everything going as expected on the mens side except for Chardy beating Seppi. As bad as the difference in strength is on the mens side, it’s even worse on the womens.

Milos was truly awful. Has terrible groundies and even worse at net. Not a good mover either. I was shocked to see that his coach is Galo Blanco, Strange choice, imo, for a guy with a game like Milos.

As for the women, if I was in charge of TennisWorld, I would ban them from the Slams. ;)

I’ll have to take a look. Federer is pretty good at making the big guys look clumsy.

^ Nah, he’s an oaf.

Well my only stake left in men’s is Tsonga and he’ll be losing next round.

And Serena who better win, obvi.
