Average High School Junior - advice on where to apply (MD resident, 3.3 UW, poli sci or nursing]

These are all good ones, especially coming from a Catholic school. I’ll throw in Gonzaga if she really wants to leave the area. And Butler is a great midsize school in Indianapolis.

Yes, the GPA here is a little below their median. Not by a lot, but being test optional also definitely makes it a reach. I thought about mentioning that ED would bring it more into reach, but it seemed a little audacious to suggest a binding application in the first mention of the school.

They’re also need-aware, so being full pay could help, especially in the ED cycle.

Also take a look at Syracuse University if school spirit and sports is important.

These are schools that got an “A” for athletic life/enthusiasm on Niche’s website, which ranks this category according to student survey respondents, I believe. Schools that I remembered were already or that are already on your list were italicized. The ranking is where the schools ranked nationally in the category for “athletics.”
