My daughter got an email today for the Decision release . Is there anyone got an email too?
I think everyone got one!!
oh my god i forgot about daylight savings. i’m in switzerland!
Two questions … (1) has anyone else gotten a recent request to connect with Barnard on Naviance? Just came through two or three days ago. Seemed a bit late since most schools asked to connect right at the time they were entered. (2) Anyone get an email early to mid February from admissions saying they were reviewing the application and materials submitted but still need the mid year report? This email was also sent to the School’s guidance counselor. I know some people got likely letters without mid year grades being reported, but wondering how many got this request. The mid year report was sent by the school a day or two after the email and I know it’s part of the application process, but they were the only school to make this request.
They sent me the same email two times for the transcript because it took forever for my school to get them out.
yes I just got that email as well I was confused!!
^^ sorry that was regarding the request to connect through Naviance
whats naviance?
out of curiosity, did anyone here submit a non-custodial waiver and have it be rejected? the aid office is telling me that my application is incomplete without my non-custodial parent’s taxes, but he will not supply them. im not really sure what to do, and im wondering if anyone has any insight
If the school requires it and the NCP will not deliver, it seems you may need to focus on another school.
It may be worth asking your father one more time, telling him how much you want to attend Barnard. But in the end, if he is not willing to supply the documentation and is unwilling to pay full price, you will probably have to attend another university.
Did you supply supporting information for your waiver from another party? That may be why it was not accepted?
that’s what I figured…
unfortunately the issues with the NCP is that there is a lot of information included on their taxes that my CP and I know is untrue and that they’re currently being audited and held in court for.
my college counselor is trying to communicate with the aid office, but they don’t seem to be very sympathetic to the situation. I was contemplating just withdrawing altogether, but i may just let it sit for now.
thank you for your reply!
I was required to, actually. i submitted a letter from my therapist, from an attorney, as well as letters written by myself and my mother trying to offer more details into the situation.
I’m in a really similar situation, the barnard aid office just stopped replying to my emails eventually. eek
yikes. my college counselors are trying to arrange a meeting for them to talk to the financial aid office, but i’m not entirely hopeful
