Baylor University Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission

Do you mind sharing stats with merit offers?

My D1 got invite for Carr P. Collins Scholarship but no decision yet.

App status and checklist is gone. Big day for us

Same thing happened to us this time last week so it’s likely you will have a decision tonight! Keep us posted!

I’m also curious to know about everyone’s stats and merit scholarship amounts.

My DS still has his showing
It would be interesting to know if those that have missing are the ones that get notification in that weekly round

That seems to be the trend and people were reporting the same thing last year.

My student got an acceptance and scholarship offer tonight. We never noticed any changes in the portal before it was received. The application was submitted on 10/05. Has anyone received Invitation to Excellence invites yet?

Do you mind sharing the merit scholarship amount and stats?

Website states I2E decisions will go out “on December 13”. My DS got his acceptance and merit award notification tonight as well.

My son was accepted with Merit today as well. His merit offer was lower than we anticipated based on other merit offers. Anyone else surprised by the award amount?

yes same here for my D1, low compared to the 100K+ awards given out earlier to others. Makes it difficult for us to send her to Baylor

I agree. Even with the 120K awards, still very expensive. How can middle class family afford to send kids to Baylor? Are there other scholarships available? I know there are I2E, Getterman etc, but they are extremely competitive to get.

You. Sadly, they have increased the fees significantly in the last two years. The value of merit scholarship has diminished.

2024-2025 $58,100

Academic Year Flat Tuition Rate Annual % Increase
2022-23 $51,738 3.00%
2021-22 $50,232 12.75%*
2020-21 $44,544 4.00%
2019-20 $42,842 4.00%

Do you mind sharing your stats for your 120 k scholarship?

SAT 1490, top 2% of class.

My daughter applied 10/8, got acceptance and 100k merit yesterday. Sounds like a lot of $$ until you consider the remaining $200,000

Last year my daughter had that SAT score and was National Merit Commended, 4.5 GPA and only received merit of $76K. It was by far the least she was offered anywhere, if you are looking for a data point. She also got a scholarship from Invitation to Excellence, but those are generally small, and rare. Also, if you looked at the old CDS over the past 5 years or so, the average merit scholarship had decreased at the same time tuition had increased 30%, so it seemed like “merit” was their tool for price discrimination. They can guess a lot about your finances through a College Board service that spits out appraisals of home addresses down to the census tract level, even if you don’t fill out FAFSA.

I don’t know if they are still doing that or not, but Baylor’s merit remains a black box.

My DS received $100,000 as well. Unfortunately, although he really likes the school, it’s probably not gonna move the needle enough for him to end up at Baylor as opposed to other schools.
